The word "Gorokan" means "The Morning Dawn" from the language of the Awabakal (an Aboriginal tribe). Gorokan is located on the shores of Tuggerah Lakes and has long been a holiday destination for many. The large Lake Haven Shopping Centre is only a five minute drive away; with all the main stores, including - Aldi, Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, banks, Post Office, restaurants and take-aways.
