Our home backs onto a ravine filled with tall Oak, Cedar and Pine trees, including the coveted Garry Oak, along with wild flowers and ferns, blackberry bushes and so many variations of birds!! Offering a bright and open space, our guests can enjoy a quiet and relaxing visit surrounded by nature and all the comforts of home. While staying here you'll enjoy a private entrance around back and space to park in the drive. You'll have the entire lower level to yourself, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining space, a sunken living room with large flat screen smart tv, movies galore, fireplace and games to play on a rainy sleepy day. There are 2 large bedrooms equipped with comfortable beds and premium bedding that include down comforters to sink into after a long day of touring. Your bathroom is equipped with a large shower to enjoy and decent counter space at the sink. Towels are plush, large, and plentiful! We've even included a queen air bed, should you need the extra room. Wifi is the best given it is part of what we do for work, so you'll never have to worry about bad connectivity. Beyond all that, when you step out the french doors into the back yard, you'll be surrounded by nature, tall looming trees, so many different bird sounds and sites and comfortable seating areas to enjoy it all. Let us take care of you. During your visit... Situated conveniently near the main highway, downtown Victoria is 15 minutes from home! Less than 10 minutes away all around you, you'll have easy access to - Butchart Gardens, The Butterfly Gardens, Elk Lake - Island View Beach, wineries, fantastic local restaurants and fresh local markets - Victoria Airport - Sports Recreation Centers including Commonwealth Place, Panorama Rec Center, The Rowing Club Visit the beautiful town of Sidney, just 12 minutes away for shopping and amazing local cuisine, pick sea glass on the beach or go crabbing with the locals! The Schwartz Bay Ferry Terminal is (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes from home to head back to the mainland. As our guest you'll have access to your private entrance. There is a bbq for you to enjoy should you prefer to cook outside! Should you prefer to get a tour upon your arrival, we'd be happy to meet you and take you through the grand tour. Otherwise you can feel free to simply text us at your leisure with any questions, requests or concerns any time during your visit. We tell people we live on sesame street! In this neighborhood, the kids play in the street, the neighbors all know each other and their dogs, and its just a wonderful relaxing place to live and be in each and every day! Just to give you an idea, we've hosted Thanksgiving dinner on our driveway the past two years! Neighbors all brought sides and we cooked up two large turkeys we get from a farm down the road. Everyone had a great time! There's also neighborhood bbq's throughout the year. The transit bus system here is amazing! Situated very close to the house, if you prefer to use transit to get around, its easy and affordable. Use your (Hidden by Airbnb) maps to easily ferry around by transit should you need. We have two small dogs that are friendly but scared rescue dogs who can be loud when they first hear or see you. We will endeavor to try to keep their noise at a minimum when you arrive. We really appreciate your patience. Should you see them in the back yard doing their business, best to leave them be until they're back inside.
