Cabin by a Stream

Artist owned spacious and cozy cabin on 5 private acres bordering the Schoharie creek in Prattsville, N.Y. Centrally located between Hunter, Windham and Stamford NY, two hours from New York City. The house is tastefully furnished and very comfortable and clean. It is set back from a local quiet road on a very private five acre lot on the Schoharie Creek. Swim and fish in the creek right outside your door where wildlife abounds including deer, foxes, rabbits, eagles and more. The main room has a cathedral ceiling crafted from recycled barn beams with a skylight and an open kitchen/ dining/ living room floor plan. There are two porches outside, one open and the other screened. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the other with a double. The cabin sleeps six including the bed with trundle on the screen porch. We provide a fully stocked kitchen with all the basics such as paper towels, tissues, salt, pepper, common spices, and cooking oil. Visitors are welcomed to use any food in the house. We provide luxury 100% cotton sheets and towels for your comfort. There is a CD and DVD player with an extensive collection of films plus a collection of CD's and Sirius satellite radio for your entertainment. We are available to answer any questions by phone or email since we live in Brooklyn. There are numerous amenities in the town of Prattsville which is a half mile from the cabin including the Great American supermarket, a liquor store, laundromat, dog wash, Young’s Agway and restaurants. Pratts Rock, the Mount Rushmore of the northeast, is an easy hike with fantastic views. The Trailways bus stops here. Guests must take their garbage and all food home with them. There is no trash pick up here in the mountains.
