Access to the entire cabin Directions to the cabin, acess info, local grocery stores and Wi-Fi info are all provided. Since we live in Florida, I cannot be there in person. However, I will check in with you via phone /text on your date of arrival to make sure you have arrived and that all is well. Always available to answer questions or concerns. I enjoy getting to know you (if you wish), but am also very respectful of your privacy. Some folks are chatty, some are more reserved - either way is fine! A wonderful opportunity to explore nature and the countryside, unplug if you so desire, and enjoy some good ol' country life. Very friendly community, peaceful and quiet. You may spot an owl, an eagle, or a wild turkey. Fireflies dance in the summer evenings. Gaze up at a myriad of nighttime stars... Rock on the large porch while you enjoy a cup of coffee or hot cocoa as you watch the ethereal morning mist arise from the mountains. And have an "adult beverage", or drink of choice while enjoying the gorgeous evening sunset - a must! Very comfy beds, too! Ample space for two vehicles to park in the back. Only an hour and 10 minute drive from the Chattanooga Airport (along the beautiful gorge in TN!), about an hour and a half from the Knoxville Airport, and about a 2 hours' drive from the Atlanta and Asheville airports. Note: the road up the mountain is a well-maintained gravel road that can be considered somewhat steep in certain areas. A 4WD or all-WD vehicle is recommended, but not necessary. (Many go up in a sedan without difficulty.) **10.75% NC tax will be added to the nightly fee for Uncle Sam (not us!). $15 cash fee for garbage removal if you choose to not dispose of it yourself. Hours of nearby site are posted @ the cabin. Closed on Sundays.
