BBQ on the wrap around deck or play a game of corn hole or horseshoes. Fenced in family/ pet- friendly property. Swan's Nest is the perfect year- round vacation destination or weekend getaway. Beautifully built home with hickory wood floors, granite counters, rustic alder cabinets. The house is 1800 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a great room and wet bar. There is large wrap around deck and gas bbq. Enjoy a tub for two in the claw foot bathtub in the master bathroom. Enter through the garage with a one-step up entry to the kitchen or the front door accessible by stairs. We have recently purchased this home and we are in the process of redecorating and landscaping. We are currently in the process of adding an additional lower deck on the ground level. We welcome you to our mountain vacation home and request that you enjoy yourself, breathe the fresh mountain air and just have fun. ****Swans Nest is located down a dirt road and can be difficult to access November through April without an AWD or 4X4 vehicle. The road is plowed but history has revealed that FWD and RWD vehicles have trouble making it down the road. Lake Davis is 5 minutes away, 10 minutes from Grizzly Ranch Golf course. Downtown Portola is 7 miles away. Blairsden and Graeagle are a short 20- minute drive. In addition there is great brewery off of 70 near Blairsden. J & J Grizzly Store is 7 minutes from the cabin. canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are available there for rent. In addition, they have a small store if you need anything basic. They also have a hamburger shack and year frosty's. Check them out online. Lake Davis has wonderful fishing spots and hiking trails. If you like bird watching, there are eagle and osprey nests in the treetops near the lake. Pelicans, Tundra Swans, ducks and more. Fishing Derby in June and ice finishing in the winter. Don't forget to visit the Portola Historic Railroad museum in town. If you need assistance during your stay, please text me. I am not located in Portola, but 3 hours away.
