The VILLA EL OSO PEREZOSO is a private villa, a home designed for communing with friends, family and nature. The unique architecture of the home invites the sounds and sights of nature to enchant its guests. This home has a TOTAL of 4 BEDS (one KING and three Full/double), all with orthopedic mattresses and comfortable linens. If you need additional beds the owners of this home also own LA PONDEROSA with 7 hotel suites/ rooms. The first floor features an outdoor patio with equipped kitchenette and a casual dining area with ceiling fan as well as hammock and chairs perfect for gathering, conversing, and relaxing. The first floor also has a comfortable living room with air conditioning, satellite TV and one full bathroom. The living room features sleeping space for up to 3 guests (one full bed and one sofa). After a day of adventure activities and peaceful lounging, the second story is where the guests can retire to dream of the wonders of the Gulfo Dulce. With two bedrooms and one half bath, the second floor of the VILLA features sleeping space for up to six guests (1 king and 2 full). Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan and has the options of air conditioning with individual temperature control or open french doors and windows to let the tropical air flow through. The entire second floor is encircled with a screened in balcony on which guests can recline in a Adirondack chair under a ceiling fan and savor the sights of the jungle lined ocean, expansive gardens, lively wildlife, and lush jungle. It is the balcony that makes the VILLA experience magical and so relaxing. The view at sunset is special each day and the air cools to the just the right temperature. Housekeeping is provided daily and laundry service can be arranged for an additional fee. VILLA EL OSO PEREZOSO is not only a magical space, it is also part of a private resort. The Boutique resort features a shared pool and gardens. Enjoy self guided walks with fun animal encounters and an expansive views of the Gulfo Dulce at the top of the hill. The VILLA at LA PONDEROSA is located where the jungle meets the beach about 1.5 mile south of the Pavones town center or 2.5 miles north of the Punta Banco town center. It is 7 hour drive from San Jose, 4 hour drive from Dominical or 1.5 hour drive from Golfito. We can assist with car rental arrangements. A SUV is recommended for the roads in beach areas of Costa Rica. There are compact, mid-size, standard, full-size and premium SUVs available. Other options for getting around the Pavones area: Enjoy a slower paced life and take a walk. Just plan to hang around the resort an relax. We have beach cruiser style bicycles for rent to guests. With some notice, a local taxi – shuttle can be arranged. A few all terrain vehicles (ATV or “quad”) are available for rent locally. This boutique resort has a quiet and secluded location just outside of the town center. La Ponderosa beachfront has a sandy swimming area for playing in the water. The jungle meets the sea on this beach and it is a perfect place to relax in the shade and take in the view. Visitors and locals enjoy an incredible view across the Golfo Dulce to the Osa Peninsula. You can explore tide pools all along the coast. The beach faces west and is famous for spectacular sunsets. There is really no night life to speak of, there are a few local bars to have a beer. There is an excellent Italian restaurant just a five minute walk and several owner operated local eateries offering a variety of cuisine can be explored with a 5 minute car ride.
