The second bedroom as two single beds but these can also be set up as a super-kingsize bed so it is very flexible and perfect for families or friends looking for a beautiful escape. This gorgeous country cottage has an open plan living space complete with log burning stove, comfy sofas and a well equipped kitchen. The dining table is positioned to take in the garden views and if the weather is kind, you have a private patio area with outdoor dining set - plus you can enjoy the larger grounds (the cottage is an annexe to the owners larger home). You have a private entrance and the run of the whole of Little Friston Lodge. It is adjoining a majestic country house, but unless you'd like help you'll be left with lots of your own space. The owner lives in the adjacent main house and is available to answer questions as needed. Located in Friston, near Eastbourne in the glorious Sussex countryside, Friston Down Cottage offers the ideal location for walkers and cyclists, with the South Downs Way just a stone's throw away. Beaches are also within easy access, along with a multitude of quaint villages and historical attractions. And if you're looking for a bigger social scene, Eastbourne is only four miles away and even Brighton is just a bus ride or drive away with its cosmopolitan cafes, shops and nightlife. The village of East Dean is an easy walk away, with a fantastic pub offering great food and real ales - the Tiger Inn. The village has a nice selection of shops including a delicatessen, grocers, Post Office/newsagents, grocery store and a hairdressers. There's also a doctor's surgery and a fabulous Thai restaurant. A car is handy or you can pick up buses into Eastbourne and Brighton at the end of the road. Please be aware there is a pond, so parents need to supervise small children in the garden.
