El Olivar - A Magnificent Villa in Umbria!

El Olivar is a very special, two-story, four-bedroom home on 11 acres of land in the beautiful region of Umbria Italy. Entering the property on a drive flanked by giant pines and a working olive grove will give you the first indication that you are somewhere that just may live up to the picture of Italy that you have in your head. Entering the front door will confirm it for you. You will be looking at a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) square foot patio that offers spectacular views of a lush green valley. Our villa, El Olivar is our home and we are happy to share it with you. You are staying in a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) square foot, four bedroom, 3.5 bathroom villa on 11 acres of land with a working olive grove of a hundred trees, an 8 x 5 meter swimming pool, two fireplaces and a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) square foot patio that overlooks the Umbrian valley and the Tiber river. The house is well appointed with silk curtains from Jim Thompson in Thailand, comfortable furniture and furnishings that are a mixture of both modern and country. The sunrises and sunsets that can be seen from the patio are often awe inspiring! You are in the green heart of Italy where you will be able to enjoy the local cuisine and wonderful Umbrian wines that aren’t normally found outside of Italy. Your stay will be self-catering with some assistance from our caretakers who live on the property in an apartment attached to the house. They are there to keep everything working, watch over the villa, and to support you during your stay. They will change linens (every 5 days) and towels (every 3 days) take away the trash, clean the pool each morning, sweep the patio, keep firewood stocked at the fireplace answer your questions, and can even help you make dinner reservations at the local restaurants. They only speak Italian. If you don’t speak Italian that need not be a problem. By showing them what you want and using (Hidden by Airbnb) Translate they will be able to help you. They have (Hidden by Airbnb) so you can also get messages to them (translated to Italian) that way. Towns such as Otricoli, Narni, Orvieto & Terni are all within 30 minutes from the villa. Venture just a bit further to visit Civita di Bagnoregio or Montefalco where you can find beautiful wines, many of which never leave Italy. A day trip to Norcia, Assisi, Gubbio, Spello or Spoleto is the perfect way to collect beautiful Umbrian experiences that you will talk about for a lifetime. Our villa is in Otricoli about an hour drive from Fiumicino airport in Rome. Renting a car and driving is the absolute best way to see the sights and is really a necessity as Umbria is a largely rural area.
