Tauerndorf Enzingerboden "Lodge Eagle's nest"

Lodge Eagle’s nest is a comfortable chalet (semi detached house) with private garden, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan living room with kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms have good sized double beds, the masterbedroom comes with an en suite bathroom with bath tub. The second bathroom comes with a shower. Therefore, unfortunately, it is not allowed to swim in the lake. The water would also be much too cold for bathing, it never rises above 10 degrees. You can splash around a bit, let your feet hang in, etc. you can do it at the upper end where the stream runs into the lake. For swimming, we recommend our great bathing lake in the valley below. Enjoy your summer days with delicious meals on site, SUPs to borrow, a slide and a children's area. You have access to the full semi detached house. We are always available through email or phone and are living in the town of Uttendorf. Mountain lake, living in middle of the national park Hohe Tauern, direct access to the ski lift "Weißsee Gletscherwelt", absolute peace, no traffic noise, fresh alpine air Due to its location at an altitude of 1500m sea level the Tauerndorf is a bit difficult to reach with public transport. There is a bus running 3 times a day but only during main season so we recommend to come with your own car. During winter snow chains are recommened. The mountain road is a paved road and is cleared but nevertheless snow chains may be required. The next supermarket and doctor office are both located in the valley at the town centre of Uttendorf which is 17km away. There are 3 parking spot at the carport reserved for you and labelled with "privat / Haus 178". If you need more spaces please park on the unassigned spots at the Tauerndorf or further up at the public parking from the Weißsee Gletscherwelt. Baby cot (incl. Linen and towels) and high chair are available for EUR 15,-- per stay. Your dog (max. 2) are welcome for a small fee of EUR 25,--. From September 2020 to approximately 2025 we will be facing some issues because of a construction site 600m nearby. From beginning of 2020 until early 2022 they will develop a tunnel and afterwards a cavern waterpower plant will be installed inside the mountain. We kindly ask you for your understanding and hope that you will enjoy the outstanding mountain scenery around the Weißsee Gletscher.
