Situated on the high street Close to popular Wedding venues Whalley Abbey: 0.3 miles (1 minute) Mitton Hall: 2 miles (5 minutes) Northcote: 2 miles (5minutes) Holmes mill: 3.5 miles (7minutes) Mytton fold: 2 miles (4minutes) Shireburn Arms: 5 miles (9 minutes) Browsholme Hall: 7.5 miles (14 minutes) Newly refurbished - This is a cottage which exudes charm and style, a stunningly pretty retreat. The lounge with exposed wood beams and stone flag floor is furnished to a high standard with luxurious soft furnishings a superior sofa bed, dining space, a feature fireplace and Smart Tv, its gorgeous and 'snug' - a handy storage area to pop coats and walking boots etc too. A fitted kitchen with flag tile flooring, all modern appliances and Tea, Coffee and essentials provided A complimentary luxury welcome pack On the ground floor to the rear of the property is the shower room with toilet, tiled floor to ceiling, a heated towel rail, mirrored unit filled with additional toiletries and a magnifying mirror, here you will find superior fluffy white towels for your use during your stay Complimentary toiletries also provided The bedroom is located on the first floor, overflowing with character, featuring exposed beams and gorgeous soft furnishings, Contemporary lighting, a kingsize bed (which converts to twin beds if needed) a window seat to sit and read or watch the world go by. Superior linens all supplied, Smart TV, DAB and Bluetooth Radio, bedside reading lamps, Fan, Hairdryer and Dressing robes The rear patio/yard has pretty climbing plants and planted bowls, it's lovely and private and such a sun trap! Theres a patio set ideal for breakfast on a sunny day or to chill with a glass of wine from your complimentary hamper after a day of exploring the fabulous countryside. At the rear of the property you have your own enclosed quaint patio area from here there is access to the rear pathway. ( locked at night) From the front entrance you are within a few strides of the centre of the village Its lovely to meet guests on arrival if however check in times change , I am always available by phone or email, feel free to update me prior to your arrival. It's your 'special time' so I prefer to leave you to enjoy the moment with the reassurance I am only a phone call away if you should need me and of course I'm happy to assist where possible on the local area and what it has to offer. Step out of the front door and you'll find lots to do in this lovely part of The Ribble Valley. A peaceful retreat yet situated in the bustling centre of 'oh-so-popular Whalley' There's an array of great bars, restaurants and coffee shops to choose from all within a few strides from the cottage. If you love to shop, the boutiques all have their own unique style and for that special occasion, if your attending a wedding locally I would be happy to arrange appointments at one of the local salons if your not familiar with the area.... many weddings and events take place in the nearby area due to its great location and superb venues. This is a home stay that exudes charm. If peace and quiet, rolling countryside, idyllic villages and a stunningly pretty retreat is what you're after, look no further than this fabulous luxury homestay. The natural beauty of this area is astounding and ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. well worth a visit with unique independent shops as well as a deli, butchers, fabulous restaurants gastropubs and bars all just a few strides from your door exploring the beautiful Ribble Valley and Trough of Bowland and all its historical sights such as Whalley Abbey and the market town of Clitheroe where you can take a walk round the Castle. The popular Grand theatre hosts regular events and local pubs often have live bands on. There is on road parking immediately outside the house. A regular bus service from the main road taking you through most of the Ribble Valley and also just a few minutes walk from the Train station, this runs to Clitheroe, Blackburn and meets the main line for Preston and Manchester. Storage for push bikes A local taxi service too Leading out from the rear of the property there is an enclosed quaint private patio area and access to the rear pathway, which is locked at night time. All the ground floor is on one level, however there is one step down as you enter through the front door, the stairway into the bedroom has only a few steps. If you should have any special requirements I am happy to try and accommodate if at all possible , housekeeping can also be arranged at an additional charge, pets are allowed but must remain on the ground floor level out of respect for future guests. Situated on the high street therefore a likelihood of some traffic noise Free parking is usually found on the Main Street ( this now has a 2 hr restriction between 8am-6pm, apart from Sunday ) or street facing the cottage where there’s no restrictions There is an additional charge for pets
