Hudson Valley Hideout

*** The Hudson Valley Hideout is closed for winter, Nov 'til late April*** Next level glamping! This gorgeous little hideout is surrounded by Japanese Maples, pines and a variety of other tall, lush trees. Admire wildlife (birds, chipmunks, deer) all around you in this private oasis that makes you feel like you're away from it all, yet super close to the region's best restaurants, charming cafes and bars in Beacon, Newburgh, Fishkill, Wappinger's and Poughkeepsie. It's a rustic paradise! *** The Hudson Valley Hideout is closed for winter, Nov until late April*** The perfect escape from the city for a weekend or up to two weeks (Sorry, NO LONG TERM STAYS). ***Please read these important details before making your booking*** COVID-19 Update: We are committed to everyone's health and safety. Please note that ALL surfaces, door knobs, etc will be thoroughly disinfected between guests and we will provide at least 24 hours between guests. Social distancing will be in place throughout the stay. The Hideout is on 4 acres of property (we live in the main house), within a fenced-in area containing the pool, that's all your own to enjoy in the summer. If you want the feeling like you're remote, while being a quick drive from conveniences, sightseeing, hiking, bars and restaurants, this is perfect for you! Your bedroom is almost entirely windows (with screens) so that you virtually feel like you're sleeping outside. Besides a full kitchen, there's an eating area outside your door by the pool, along with a grill for your use. For safety concerns, we're sorry but this is NOT suitable for children nor pets. During your stay, the entire gated area by the pool is your own. We live on the property in the main house. Please note that we have a strict policy that ONLY guests staying in the Hideout (up to 3 total) may be on the grounds/use the pool area. We're located in the main house on the property, but we'll leave it up to you as to how much privacy and interaction you want. Please know that daily pool maintenance is necessary. Tons of hiking in Beacon, Garrison, Bear Mountain, New Paltz (30 min), Woodstock (50 min) and more. Cute little Hudson valley main streets. Awesome antique shopping in Coldspring is about 15 minutes away. The area appeals to foodies and activity junkies alike. We're 10 minutes from the New Hamburg station on the Hudson Valley line. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this area. If driving is your thing, we're about 90 minutes from the city, depending on traffic. We're a short drive from Beacon (10 min), Poughkeepsie (10 min), Newburgh (15 min) and New Paltz (half hour). Woodstock and Kingston are a scenic hour drive from here. We ask that you let us know if you need anything to make you feel at home! We are usually available/normally at home in these COVID times, so it's no problem to bring anything you may need down to the house. Please note that the pool is not heated and is covered from Mid October until early May. (In Summer) Daily pool maintenance and landscaping is necessary but should not impact your stay. We try to coordinate with guests to the best of our ability so as not to disturb you. The Hideout is down a well-lit path from the driveway. You will need to go down 5 gradual steps to reach it. At night the path is lit with lanterns. There are deer, chipmunks, turkeys and squirrels that roam the property :) Please respect the wildlife.
