This luxury two bedroom duplex apartment with private terrace and a shared swimming pool is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Located in a traditional Spanish village but with easy access to the Costa Tropical beaches, Granada & its ski resort. LICENCE NUMBER VFT/GR/04279 The apartment has the feel of a contemporary hotel; the bathrooms are modern with high quality fittings and powerful showers. It is furnished in neutral tones and the bedrooms are a haven of relaxation with high quality beds and mattresses complete with crisp, white linen. The air-conditioned living room has a comfy sofa, reliable and fast WiFi, SMART TV (you can login with your own Netflix account), DVD player (with selection of DVDs). There is a great selection of books on Spanish culture, phrase books, travel books, novels and cook books for guests use. From the living room a pair of French doors open onto a small private terrace (with a table and 4 chairs, including 2 sun loungers). The terrace leads to the swimming pool only metres away. On the ground floor there is also a dining table with 6 chairs and a separate kitchen with everything you need to prepare and cook meals. There is a Nespresso style capsule coffee maker. It contains a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric coffee grinder, kettle, toaster and all essential kitchen items. Guests are provided with basic items in the kitchen such as salt, pepper, olive oil, premium tea and coffee. A corridor from the living/dining room leads to one of the bedrooms which has two comfortable single beds (can be arranged into a double), high quality bed-linen and ample storage space in the wardrobe (hanging space and a chest of drawers). There is air conditioning in the bedroom and also shutters to create complete darkness for a good night’s sleep. Also off this corridor is a modern bathroom with a shower over the bath. The bathroom comes with a cabinet for storage and guests are provided with hand towels and bath mats (1 of each) plus each guest is provided with one bath towel and a beach/pool towel. Upstairs is the main bedroom containing a very comfortable King size bed with crisp, white linen. There is a Juliet balcony opening onto the quiet street below. This room also contains ample storage space (hanging space and a chest of drawers) plus air conditioning and shutters to create complete darkness. There is also an en-suite shower room with cabinet storage and towels provided. In the master bedroom is a fold away wall desk perfect for laptop working. The apartment is ideal for couples, families with children or groups of 4 adults. It sleeps 4 comfortably (2 per room, each with own bathroom) although there is a sofa bed to sleep an extra 1 or 2 but this would be a squeeze. There is a travel cot available on request. Guests with children will appreciate the following; selection of books for babies to teens, DVDs, large array of toys, board games, pens and paper, travel cot, stair gates, plastic crockery and cutlery, baby monitor and Smart TV! There is a swimming pool just metres from the private terrace of the apartment. Families note that the pool area is gated so that children cannot access the pools without adult supervision. The apartment comes with a designated underground car parking space (a blessing in the warmer months). I live in London, so do not have much face to face interaction but am always available on email and phone. I use an excellent trusted local contact who provides a 'meet and greet' service to hand over the keys. He is also available to deal with any issues that may arise during your stay. Other services (e.g. airport transfer, grocery shopping) are available on request. The apartment is within walking distance (5 minutes) to bars, restaurants and shops. Velez de Benaudalla is a traditional Spanish village, unmarked by mass tourism but containing everything you need for a truly Spanish holiday. It is tucked away in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It has several bars and restaurants offering tapas at very reasonable prices. It also has small supermarkets, bakeries, cash machines and a pharmacy. It is perfectly situated to benefit from the Costa Tropical (15 minutes drive), the wonderful city of Granada (45 minutes drive) and the Sierra Nevada mountain range (c. 1hour drive for skiing). A car is recommended to get the best from your stay here. However, you can walk to the shops and bars in the village and there are buses to Granada, Malaga, Motril and the coast. There is a designated secure underground car park space that comes with the apartment. We can arrange a private airport transfer (Malaga or Granada) please request prices. Velez is easily accessible by car from Granada airport (45mins) or Malaga airport (1.5hrs). I live in England, so do not have much face to face interaction but am always available on email and phone.
