Safe area near walking track around the Third Lagoon and Peace Park. The beach (part dog off-leash and on-leash) is 1 km walk away. Close to buses, trains, seaside, walking trails. Exit ramps to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast - both being 1 hour away. So very private for a memorable getaway or relocation with or without your pets. The cottage is light filled and cool with huge sliding doors and screens opening up onto a breezy north facing deck and aromatic tropical gardens. The cottage has every convenience, and is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, dishwasher, appliances, linen, laundry and air conditioning. Guest have access to free wifi; a 42 inch TV and DVD; and an undercover carpark. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and a beautiful spacious bathroom with stone tiles. A extra person can stay for a short amount of time on the adult sized (king single size) sofa. Even if staying up to six months, electricity is free. We welcome pets and as pet owners, we believe in taking pets on holidays. Your pets will adore the garden for foraging and exploring and are welcome inside as the floors are timber. There is a pet door. Pets are allowed indoors. This is an upmarket pet friendly cottage and is kept beautifully clean with covers washed after each guest.The area has 2 off-leash dog parks and also allows leashed walking of dogs on the beachfront and at the nearby Peace Park The cottage is in a very safe neighbourhood. The street is a quiet street hiding gorgeous tranquil Brighton Cottages: Happiness Cottage and the two bedroom Paradise Cottage! Both cottages are quite separate and privately situated from one another and have covered carports. These cottages are the perfect place to begin your search for a longer term rental/lease in north Brisbane if you are relocating. We have also had many overseas guests and visa holders stay with us to establish a home base and address for applying for their Australian documentation before selecting their forever home. The beachfront with its 5kms of walking and biking track is 1 km away. Peace Park, 250m from the cottage has a walking and cycling path around a conservation lagoon/wetlands. There is a manual in the cottage for ideas on activities and restaurants and hotels. Relax and enjoy. You self access the cottage at any time after 2pm (earlier if there is availability) and late flights in to Brisbane airport are no problem with accessing the cottage. We meet out guests where possible but allow guests to unpack andsettle in firstly... and if you are new to the area or to Australia we will be a phone call away for advice on supermarkets, restaurants, medical and transport issues. Brighton has a seaside village atmosphere with an emphasis on nature and serenity. However, it is close to the M1 (motorway) entrance which gives you easy access to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast and to the city. The train is 20min walk away at Sandgate Station. If you do not want to walk to Sandgate, then take the bus 200m away which has regular services closeby in the next street. This bus will also take you to the Toombul bus interchange and onto the city. There are two bikes with helmets in the back carport. The Sandgate Brighton Shorncliffe area is one of the oldest areas of Brisbane as it was once THE holiday destination before the Gold Coast and Sunshine coast were developed. As a result, there remain some lovely stately old homes along the waterfront which in their heyday were upmarket boarding house in the 1800s. The old post office and town hall on the main roundabout in the village centre have been restored and are usually open to view.
