"Get away from the world for a while" Mirrabooka is an intimate, comfortable retreat, nestled into the hillside above the tree-lined Angas River, just 45 min from Adelaide - the perfect romantic getaway for two! Relax in the spa or snuggle up in front of the fire and forget the world for a while... Your host, Nicky Henderson, welcomes you to a unique holiday experience! Set in the stunning Adelaide Hills countryside, Mirrabooka Rural Retreat boasts a double bedroom with queen size bed and electric blanket, open living, dining and Kitchenette area, air conditioning, indoor fireplace and balcony with spa bath! It is the perfect retreat from city life and ideally located to explore the Adelaide Hills region with its stunning scenery, amazing local produce, historic villages, pretty scenic drives, nature and wildlife on tap, plus loads of wineries, attractions, and a vast array of regional events. In a lovely bush setting, the B&B offers country warmth, comfort and simplicity. The accommodation is separate from the host's homestead and working beef cattle farm, therefore ensuring guests complete privacy. Welcome treats include provisions for cooked breakfasts, a complimentary bottle of local wine, filtered rainwater to drink and locally handcrafted soaps. Other amenities include hairdryer, iron, bathrobes, CD player, books, games and picnic gear - but no TV or WIF. We do have good phone reception. Instead enjoy lovely walks and picnic areas on the property. Please note the Kitchenette has a microwave, elect frying pan, toaster, kettle, bar fridge and utensils but no oven or hot plates. There are plenty of good local eateries. Mirrabooka Rural Retreat is just a stone's throw away from Adelaide and the perfect getaway to explore the stunning Adelaide Hills region. Things To Do: Less than 30 minutes away... Explore the Stirling area with its photographic little villages and visit Cleland Wildlife Park, Mt Lofty Summit (eye-popping views across Adelaide and Gulf St Vincent), Mt Lofty Botanic Garden and the Stirling Markets (10am - 4pm, every fourth Sunday of the month). Taste some of the exquisite wines of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region by touring some of its 20-plus wineries, such as Shaw & Smith, Bird in Hand, Deviation Road, Nepenthe Wines and The Lane, to name but a few... Visit Hahndorf, Australia's oldest surviving German settlement with its Teutonic sandstone architecture, German pubs, bakeries and souvenir shops. Also nearby: Beerenberg Strawberry Farm (farm shop and pick your own strawberries between November and April) and The Cedars, a unique 60 hectare heritage property and historic home of one of Australia's most noted landscape artists, Sir Hans Heysen. Reach 1830's small town Macclesfield in under 10 minutes for shops, pubs and dining out options. Mirrabooka Rural Retreat can be reached from Adelaide city centre on the Adelaide Metro routes T840 (Adelaide to Mt Barker) and 852 (Mt Barker to Strathalbyn) or if you're arriving by car, there's free parking at the property! Mirrabooka Rural Retreat can accommodate up to 2 adults. No smoking or pets allowed. Minimum stay 2 nights. Stay 7 nights and get 1 free*! (*weekly price is $900 instead of $1,050)
