Unforgettable holiday for 1 to 2 families travelling together with secluded safe swimming beach. This beach front property has drive on access. Modern cabins surrounded in native bush. Birds, glow-worms and fish in bay. Kayaks, dinghy and life jackets included. This is a property with a difference. It has a lovely swimming beach, Kayaks, dinghy and lifejackets are all available for your use free of charge. There are 2 swing moorings available on request for runabouts. Please note. This is a hillside property so it is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs etc. Kenepuru Sounds is well known for it's snapper so bring your fishing rods. Queen Charlotte walkway and many other tracks are nearby so bring your sneakers. If you're a golfer and want to try something different, throw your clubs in and drive to Nopera Golf course. Remember to pack your lunch or stop off at the Portage on the way back. If possible I like to meet and greet my guests then leave you to explore. We have several resorts within driving, boating or walking distance. Portage Resort - a short drive. (Check their winter hours) Punga Cove - a great place to explore. Cafe on jetty Lochmara Resort - A great walk with an adventure at the end including an underwater aquarium. (Check winter hours) Te Mahia - makes great coffee & delicious food at Tinkers during the summer. This property is not suitable for prams or wheel chairs There are various Fishing Charters and boat tours available. Perhaps go on line and check them out. Pelorus Mail boat tour is highly recommended if you have time. There is no bus service so your own car or a rental car is a must. Guests to bring in their own linen & food supplies. The nearest supermarket is an hours drive away. We have a linen hire service available if required. The cost is $15pp for the length of your stay (not per night). Limited food supplies available at Te Mahia.
