Head up to the Treehouse and make yourself comfortable on one of our cushions or beanbags, let the breeze tussle your hair and watch the world go by - sometimes all we need is somewhere quiet to sit and BE for a while, before heading back into the fray. The smallest things can be healing, like swinging in a hammock chair, snuggling up in front of the firepit, patting a cat, reading one of our many self-help books or novels, drinking tea (we have all sorts), just listening to the birds, or playing with a dog. Here at the Tomah Retreat, Bronwen Logan, your host, makes every attempt to greet you as you arrive and provide you with everything you need to know, introduce you to Flora the pig and her animal mates, point out the entrance to the labyrinth, let you know which fruits or nuts are in Season, and explain how to set the fire in the hearth and how to book in for an optional healing treatment or meditation class. Bronwen's own house on the property is private, but she can always be reached by text or phone and will be there in a flash if you need her. Spend an hour or two on a lovely Local Walk out to the cliff faces at Pierces Pass off the Bells Line of Rd. Visit the quaint Saturday Morning Markets at the Bilpin Hall. Locals come together to chat over a cuppa and sell a few nicknacks. A low key event typical of the laid back mountain vibe. Enjoy a free Guided Walk at the Botanical Gardens, just 500 metres away. Other group activities can also be organised with the Botanical Gardens including walks with an indigenous local. Various fees apply. Experienced canyoners will be very excited to know that the Tomah Retreat is next door to the spectacular Claustral Canyon. There is no public transport on this side of the Blue Mountains - but that's what makes it all the more special. We are obviously being extra careful at this time. We have taken the precaution of increasing cleaning and disinfection, particularly of frequently touched surfaces. We're also asking that you please practice safe hygiene and remain at home if you feel unwell. Refunds can always be arranged :-). Stay well! There is a large pond so only children who can swim (or babies who can't) are able to book into the Tomah Retreat.
