Ferncreek Mountain retreat, wild bush views

Fully self-contained cabin/studio faces a tranquil forest garden with native trees & birds. Enter via a private balcony to your own space with panoramic garden view, with antique arm-chairs, couch, queen bed, kitchenette, air-con heating, TV, modern bathroom and super modern toilet. Electric air-double bed for extra 1-2 guests. Garden creek, BBQ and within easy walk, many beautiful waterfalls. Pet friendly but contact host before-hand. Hazelbrook station 10min walk; 1.40min drive to Sydney. Ferncreek studio is located at the side of the host's house and is very private, with its on balcony and a little yard with a table and chairs and a BBQ. Guests can also have the use of the huge backyard that it opens into. There is a beautiful creek at the back of this, with large ferns, and the reason for Ferncreek studio name. This airbnb is located mid Blue Mountains so it is very easy to access the rest of Blue Mountains. It's only 15-20 min by car to the famous sites in Katoomba, Wentworth Falls, Leura etc. Traveling by train is also easy, as the studio is only 10-15min walk from Hazelbrook train station and 1.40min train ride from Sydney. Guests can park in front of the house when they arrive. Due to COVID restrictions, all current check ins are self check in and there will be no interaction between myself and the guests. The accommodation is completely separate. I am contactable via airbnb site and happy to answer any questions you might have about local beautiful bush walks, waterfalls, places to swim on a hot day or walks with spectacular views of the canyon. Despite last 2019 fires, the bush looks spectacular and well recovered. Ferncreek Studio is a pet friendly space and I can recommend bush-walks where pets are permitted. Please, don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions. Self check in and the studio key will be in the door of the studio, unless otherwise specified. Sometimes requests for an earlier check-in can be accommodated. Fees for early check in are: before 10am - $50; 10-11am $40; 11am-12pm - $30; 12-1pm - $20; 1-2pm - $15 or the latter, zero fees if guest contacts the host and earlier cleaning and studio preparation can be accommodated. Fees for late check out are: 11am-12pm - $30; 12 - 1 pm $40; 1 - 2pm - $50; 2pm-3pm - $60. Due to COVID, we follow strict cleaning protocols and although I do not charge additional cleaning fees, the studio requires a minimum of 1 hour cleaning time between guests. Make sure you discuss any proposed changes to check in/out times with me as other guests may be already booked for some of these time slots and cleaning needs to be scheduled in. ***AS I DO NOT CHARGE A CLEANING FEE, ALL GUESTS ARE REQUESTED TO DO A VERY LIGHT CLEAN BEFORE CHECK OUT (sweep the floor if dirty, broom next to fridge), clean and put away all used kitchen items, as cutlery, pots and plates, into cabinets. No need to make up the bed or remove sheets. *** ***ALTERNATELY, GUESTS MUST AGREE TO A CLEANING FEE OF $30*** Ferncreek studio is in Hazelbrook, mid Blue Mountains, within easy access to Sydney and close to a huge variety of natural wonders of the Blue Mountains National Park, which starts a short walk from the studio. There are more waterfalls within walking distance than I have ever been to! Hazel, Mabel, Edith, Horseshoe, Terrace and many more! There are also many spectacular dog-friendly waterfall and bush walks. A variety of forest types, from hearth to temperate tropical and even the unique grove of the giant eucalypts, biggest in Blue Mountains, at Murphys Glen is in Hazelbrook. Wilderness type view from your window and yet, nearby, are cafes, shops and even lovely restaurants. After rains, the waterfalls are stunning and the creek in the backyard, a cascade of water. On arrival, park in front of the property (free) and walk around the main house to backyard and your own, separate studio. During COVID restrictions, contactless self-check in. You will be completely isolated, with no contact with the host. Completely separate studio, with COVID safe, contactless self check-in.
