Last Dollar Lodge

Last Dollar Lodge was built in 1925, but has been completely renovated in a beautiful Southwest Ranch style. This is a spacious 6 bedroom, 2 bath home that will accommodate up to 12 people, perfect for a large family or a girl's or guy's getaway. The location is perfect to come and go, or spend time in Canyon, as it is conveniently located at the corner of the town's two major streets, 4th Ave and 23rd St. Our totally old house has been made totally new, and is wonderfully warm and cozy with 6 brand new beds, 3 king and 3 queen. The new large downstairs bathroom has a step in shower with a handy bench. The upstairs bathroom has a large tub with a rain shower head and an even larger bench. Everything is new in the kitchen. The total house and backyard/patio with propane grill are 100% for guests use and enjoyment. We live a few minutes away, but are available to meet our guests when there are questions or needs. We have lived in Canyon for many years, so we do know a bit about and love our area, and would like to share and answer any of your questions. We are located within view and walking distance of the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum and the West Texas A & M University campus. A few blocks west is the downtown Canyon square, where some of the newest restaurants and shops have recently come to life. The Canyon Public Library is only a block north of the square. The WTAMU campus is also home to the new Football Stadium ready to host our home team Buffaloes in the Fall of 2019. We also have a wonderful local hamburger spot across the street known as Buffs. 14 miles to the east is the renowned Palo Duro Canyon where you can hike, ride horseback, explore the Lighthouse and enjoy the famous play TEXAS from end of June to end of August each year. South of the home, one can find more restaurants such as Buenos Dios or Braum's for ice cream. Also, visit the West Texas Western Store for good looking hats and boots. Groceries, beer and wine can be purchased at United Supermarket. There is large parking area. 4 to 5 cars can fit on east of house and a parking area in back of house accessible through the alley and back yard gate...2 to 3 cars.
