Little Falls is a comfortable home from home, located on the Pendra Loweth site (Cornish for Valley of Gardens) in the Maen Valley, close to Maenporth Beach and cove and sitting mid-way between Maenporth cove and Swanpool Beach. The setting is very relaxing, with the sound of water running past in the nearby stream. The house is light, modern and comfortably sleeps six guests in three double bedrooms. Downstairs is a sociable, open plan living space with patio doors leading to the wide, decked balcony area over-looking the stream beneath. A great place to unwind after a day exploring. The cottage will please families looking for a relaxing summer holiday and is equally appealing all year round to couples seeking a quiet haven whatever the season. This property is tucked away in the valley and is very convenient for access to Falmouth with its busy town, harbour and prestigious marinas. The town hosts many major events throughout the year including some major sailing events, such as the Sea Shanty week in June and the Falmouth Regatta in August. The town also holds a Celebration of Music and Food with carnival atmosphere, as well as the popular Oyster Festival in October, not forgetting Christmas festive markets and events. The area is home to some stunning local beaches that are family friendly and great for water sports including diving, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and sailing. There are miles of coastal paths to explore, or alternatively you could take one of the many small ferry services to nearby St Mawes. Take a scenic trip down the Helford River, or a wildlife safari, to spot dolphins, basking sharks and seals. The local area also boasts many beautiful, sub-tropical gardens including nearby Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissike. Pendennis Castle and St Mawes Castle sit proud on the headland overseeing the important Fal estuary. Both castles (managed by English Heritage) were built by Henry VIII and are open daily to the public. The town has some amazing beach cafés that can be found at popular Gyllyngvase Beach, Swanpool Beach and wildlife reserve, and Maenporth Cove. You will be spoiled for choice as the town has many excellent restaurants, cafés, tea rooms and pubs, many of which are on the water front and all serving great food. Beach 1 mile.
