Creekside cottage on 65 acres

Covid Update - A clean environment is very important. The space is deep cleaned by an experienced cleaner before each stay. - We have a washer dryer onsite as well as an ultra quiet dishwasher. - very fast internet :) The house is bright and cozy with a bit of a Scandinavian vibe to it. There is very comfortable beds, a steam shower, an outdoor and indoor bathtub, hammock, a 4k movie projector as well as a chefs range to cook on. Down by the creek there is a fire pit if you feel like camp style cooking by the water or there is a green egg bbq on the deck. The property is on a quiet valley road and stretches roughly 1 mile along the river, with the closest neighbor about 1/2 a mile away. We are located 5 minutes from Mountaindale which has multiple restaurants and shops. Check out @visitmountaindale for everything there is on offer in town. 65 acres tucked away next to Sandburg creek, 90 minutes from the GWB and only 5 minutes from the hamlet of Mountaindale our cabin is secluded and private but still easy to access and there is lots of amenities close by. In town you will find vintage shopping, an apothecary selling locally made teas, a modern Polish American cafe and bar, Vietnamese restaurant and a pizza restaurant and also a wine and provisions shop where you can get local meats, cheeses, bread and other produce. The land is mountainous and lush and the creek is nice and cool even on the hottest of summer days. Things you’ll find at the house - high speed wi-fi (200mb/s down - 10mb/s up) - steam shower - indoor tub - outdoor claw foot hot water tub and shower - Hammock - 4K projector (hdmi) - radiant floor heating - Wood fire stove - well stocked kitchen for cooking including a pizza stone. - tea, coffee, sugar, flour, olive oil and salt/ pepper - outdoor bbq, just bring coals - deck Awning - creekside fire pit, heaps of wood at the house. No need to bring any. - super comfortable beds - towels - blankets - parking space for 5 cars - iron and ironing board - Air conditioning ( Please notify us if you require this ahead of time. I usually don't have it installed so would just need to put it back in) *This house is a home. It has literature and art that reflect a respect of all cultures, creeds, races, genders and sexualities. We are in inclusive space and all F (Hidden by Airbnb) are welcome here without judgement. We hope you enjoy this space and feel just at home as we do here :) You have the entire house to yourself. Feel free to roam the property as you wish, just be careful walking on the steep slopes in places. There is a vegetable garden and mushroom logs. Feel free to pick what looks ripe :) You will have the home to yourself! We have a house manager who will be available if you need anything but this is a totally private space to enjoy without disruption. They are available for whatever needs you might have. For longer stays if there is yard maintenance that needs to be done, this will be coordinated with you for minimal disruption and there is no interactions. It will usually take just a couple of hours :) Or if you are more comfortable we can forego the maintenance until after your stay. Mountaindale is beautiful hamlet community made up of makers, artists, activists, and tradesmen from many different backgrounds and walks of life. There is a strong presence of community care and acceptance of all people and we are no different. This is a safe place for everyone but especially at these times for BIPOC and LQBTQI+ f (Hidden by Airbnb) . We love you x In town you will find lots of amenities and shops to take care of a majority of your food, drinks and provision needs including a place to buy amazing local meats and cheeses, vegetables as well as sandwiches and smoothies ! There is also a deli where you can buy drinks and get breakfast sandwiches if you like :) The area is nestled between the Catskills and the Shawangunks so there is a huge amount of hiking and natural beauty to be found within short drives from the house. If you would like some tips you can ask me and id be happy to point you in the right direction! You will need a car to get to the house and get around. ONLY use (Hidden by Airbnb) maps. If you use Apple Maps or a Garmin you will get lost. We recommend saving a map before you get close to the house. Verizon and AT&T has good service, T-Mobile is non existent. If you have someone coming up at a different time there is a buses that take you to and from spring glen and mountaindale. Ask me and I can send you the latest bus timetables. The house is deep cleaned before each visit. Fresh linen and towels are provided. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil are all at the house. Usually some flour as well if you feel like baking. The bathroom has Dr Bronners soap, and Public Goods shampoo and conditioner.
