White Mountain National Forest is a short day drive with many attractions. Great Restaurants include Johnson’s Steak and Seafood , Northwood House of Pizza and Dante’s Italian Restaurant and Spa. Car is best mode of travel to see the sites both in and out of town. Northwood Meadows State Park has free parking and miles of well kept trails with pond to explore on foot, bike or horseback. Route 4 the main state road thru town is known as antique alley due to the many antique stores. Several churches of various denominations are located in town including a Congregational Church listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
