Spacious Room in Quiet House

This newly renovated, spacious, yet cozy, basement room is in a quiet house on peaceful street in a beautiful, tree filled neighborhood. My home is safe, quiet and fairly predictable. I have four cats, with the occasional small dog visitor. If you’re looking for some animal company while you’re away from home, this place could be purr-fect for you! The neighborhood has an historic flair with Victorian homes, old growth trees, a nearby arboretum and a park with a duck pond and community gardens. It is a beautiful area to walk in and through, with a treasure trove of history dating back to the Revolutionary War. Deer, owls, foxes, birds and bunnies are our fellow outdoor neighbors. It's not an odd sight to find deer grazing in the yard, nor is it uncommon to be awaken by birdsong - or lawn equipment, depending on the season. Immediately local are a coffee shop and a pizza restaurant. A supermarket, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are a couple of miles away, easily accessible by car. In Jenkintown, the next neighborhood over, you will find a small movie theater, banks, drug stores and a variety of restaurants. Another 15 minutes east and you will find a plethora of Korean restaurants and a fabulous Asian market. The walk to the local train station is a 15 minutes, with multiple trains per hour with access to Center City - about a 25 minute ride. There is also a bus which will take you towards Glenside and Chestnut Hill. My home is about a mile or two from Arcadia University, Salus University and the Westminster Theological Seminary. Abington Hospital is about 10 minutes away by car. Chestnut Hill is a quick 15 minute drive. Center City is typically a 40 minute drive depending on traffic. Also easily accessible through Center City, are buses and trains to New York City and Washington DC. The Pennsylvania Turnpike is a 10 minute drive. Although the area is residential and quiet, seemingly tucked away, your access to the surrounding area and all it has to offer is easy.
