Charming Self Contained Annex with Mezzanine

This lovely, modern, open plan annex has been fully refurbished in 2022. It can sleep up to 4 people (1 double bed upstairs with bed settee downstairs) and includes kitchenette, shower room, high speed wi-fi and tv. The kitchenette is well equipped with hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. Breakfast items including tea, coffee, milk, cereals and bread are provided. The open plan mezzanine bedroom has a double bed with sloping ceilings, which may restrict your standing height. Downstairs there is a double bed settee. The annex is light and airy and the log burner gives a cosy focus to the room. The shower room has a large walk in shower, sink and w.c. Across the road there is a small café which serves a hearty takeaway breakfast at a very reasonable price. There is also a shop, post office and garage next door. Within 5 minutes you can walk to the very popular Nags Head gastro pub. The dog friendly pub itself is one of the oldest pubs in Leicestershire dating back to the 14th century. There are also lots of other great pubs and restaurants to visit in the Vale. Across the road from the annex there is a free car park, or alternatively you can park on the road. You are welcome to bring your well behaved pet for an additional charge of £20, however, please do not allow them on the bed or settee and they must not be left alone in the cottage. Harby Village is centered in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir which is renowned for its unspoilt countryside. The Vale of Belvoir with it’s pretty quiet lanes is ideal for cyclists with miles of flat, quiet roads, or the challenge of some pretty steep hills. The Ridge, which features in Simon Warren’s Top 100 Climbs and Harby Hill are a not for the faint hearted. Cyclists are welcome to bring their bikes into the annex for safe keeping. The Vale is also a walkers paradise, with an abundance of public footpaths, or you can follow the Grantham Canal which is rich in history and wildlife. The nearby Belvoir Castle is one of our country’s finest Regency castles. Throughout the year there are tours of the castle and many walks through the gardens. There is a calendar of events throughout the year, from outdoor music events to a winter wonderland. Up to date information can be found on their website. The Engine Yard, Belvoir Castle’s unique retail village is a centre of excellent for local food, drink and artisan shopping. You can also enjoy a heart warming lunch at the Fuel Tank. The local town, Melton Mowbray is a traditional market town and home of Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese.
