Mandi is built on the banks of the Beas River, at the confluence of the Suketi Khad stream. Sikandar Dhar, Ghugar Dhar and Dhar Kot are some of the prominent hills and mountains found near the city. (3-5 hours) -Trek gradient: Almost constant uphill from Baggi till the lake but never gets too steep. Guide isn’t necessary as the path is well trodden and many villagers use this trail to reach the lake everyday -Best season to visit: Throughout the year. Expect to encounter snow from mid December till mid march - Good to know: Taxi available easily from Mandi to Prashar. Can easily drive by own car if used to mountain roads.
