Welcome to New Harmony and our recently renovated, rustic home nestled in the woods 1 mile from downtown New Harmony, 1 mile from the historic Old Dam on the Wabash River, and 3 miles from Harmony State Park. Full kitchen with all amenities, complete laundry room/back porch that opens onto a nice little deck looking over the wooded area behind the house. Please note: this cottage, while spacious and open, has 7 foot ceilings throughout and may not accommodate tall guests comfortably. The full size bed is an antique and therefore is a few inches shorter than average, also will not accommodate guests over 6' comfortably. We are a phone call away. We may meet you for your stay or may simply give you the entry code. Since we are a mile out of town, you'll likely want to drive your own vehicle. There is ample parking available on our property, but it's not suitable for vehicles pulling a camper or boat. There are no cab companies or Uber access that we're aware of. There is golf cart rental available in downtown area if you're looking for a fun and easy way to tour the historic sites. We recommend caution if you drive/park super low-profile vehicles in the driveway (ie: Corvette) due to gravel and incline off the road. We have never had an issue with our Toyota Camry or Honda CRV, but have never had a sports/low-profile car on the property. Hot water heater is small, but reheats quickly. The well water does have a sulfar smell, especially when hot. There is a Pur filter on the kitchen faucet for drinking water. T-Mobile customers have told us there is no service in the area for them. No pets and absolutely no smoking on the property. No open flames (candles, campfires, etc.). Please remain within the areas of the property that are cleared/fenced. The woods are for viewing only.
