It was completely rebuilt in 2013, with a queen size bed and queen sleeper sofa. Set far back from the road, with off street parking in the nicely landscaped yard, it's safe and quiet. Wifi with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other modern amenities while retaining its 1940's charm. The Cottage is in the same lot as a law office, which has complete office equipment. It is ideal for business travel, as well as personal stay. We encourage long-term rentals of the furnished property. Completely updated inside and out, with modern kitchen cabinets from IKEA, featuring an easy to use, high cabinet pantry with pull-out drawers, carousals for both wall and base corner cabinets, Jenn-Air gas stove/convection oven, stainless steel vent hood, garbage disposal, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, fridge with automatic ice maker. Bathroom has refinished cast iron tub, travertine walls around the shower, travertine floor, stacked washer-dryer combo. Queen bed in the bedroom and a queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Walking distance to the Mississippi levee, and library. Easy access to I-10 and the Westbank via the newly widened Huey P. Long Bridge, and via convenient shortcut to New Orleans downtown, French Quarter, and Superdome via the Earhart Expressway, 10 minutes to Airport. 1 mile to Elmwood shopping center and Fitness Center, Walmart, etc. Please be advised that the price differs during holidays and certain festivals such as Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest and Voodoo Fest. Please check with us before booking for the rate. Internet with wifi, laundry in house, and all the garden vegetables and herbs you wish to use for drink or cooking from the onsite vegetable garden. Depends on their desires and our availability, the house will have a unique code for the front door, so you can check in and come and go on your schedule without worrying about getting, turning in or losing a key. There's shopping and restaurants close by. There is a walking/running/biking path along the Mississippi River levee about a 10 minute walk away. Close to New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, and the west bank. There is a bus (the E3 KENNER Route) that travels East and West along Jefferson Highway. It connects to other buses and streetcars, including at Claiborne Ave and Carrollton Ave, into the New Orleans RTA system. Uber is available for the area. Please adjust the A/C setting to 80 in summer for cooling and 65 in winter for heating when you are gone for extended period of time. Please shut down the A/C when you depart.
