Ranch at the Red (1.5 mi to Motherlode)
Ranch at the Red is located on over 13 acres just a few from the entrance to the Motherlode crag and 10 mins to Natural Bridge Arches at the Red River Gorge. The house features a huge kitchen, Wi-Fi and TV, washer/dryer, 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The couch turns into a comfy bed for a total of 6 beds. There are 2 fishable ponds on the land and a horse and trail riding property next door. Whether you’re coming for climbing, hiking, biking or sightseeing, this is your home away from home. The house has just been remodeled. Everything is freshly painted and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is large and bright and there is a screened porch accessible from the kitchen exit door. There is also a 13 acre ranch to explore. Take in the air, sit by the pond, walk in the meadow. We are a pet friendly Airbnb so beware for pet allergies. Soon there will be camping and Sprinter van parking near one of the ponds. Pardon our progress, exciting updates in the works! The entire house will be available to you! There is a large circle drive that is available for guest parking. The entire property is available to you to use. The land may have campers and/or climber vans on it, but feel free to enjoy the enormous and serene outdoor spaces. The only caution is that the old barn out back isn't really a finished space and it should be avoided. Hosts are out of state a lot of the time, but your neighbor Miss Patti is just next door to the East and she is our caretaker when we are away. She has a key in case the electronic lock isn't working. We are available through the app and via phone and text any time we are awake! We have another friendly neighbor who does handyman work, but normally you wouldn't see him or her during your stay. Our ranch is located a just a few minutes from some of the best sport climbing in the United States! You can wake up slow, go take a few burns in the morning, have some lunch at the house, and then have an afternoon session. Let your life slow down just a bit! Grab dinner at one of the local climbers’ restaurants like Red River Rock House, Daniel Boone Coffee Shop or Hops & Fork a few miles away! You’ll pass the Natural Bridge Arches park on your way. We are also about 10-15 minutes from Beattyville, Kentucky where you can find a small grocery, a dollar store, and a gas station that serves package deal breakfast and lunch most days. Park in the circle drive and please feel free to contact the hosts if someone who isn't with you is occupying house guest parking. There may be campers and van life folks on the property, but they should have their own designated areas to park. We haven't really developed any vanlife spots or camping yet, but it's in the plans for the future! There is a tiny house out back that we are finishing up that may be rented soon, but they will probably park closer to the tiny in the back and won't be in anyone's way at the house. Now a private house! This was once a shared space but is no longer. Our reviews sometimes mention the hosts living in the house but there aren't any hosts or anyone else living on the property at this time. As noted above, there could be tiny house guests in the future, but not yet.
