1 bed cottage with woodburner and private patio

Beautiful cottage with off street parking attached to our home. In a very peaceful position but close to major roads and 15 minutes to both Cheltenham and Gloucester and near Stroud and Cirencester. The cottage is very spacious benefitting from a woodburner, 2 bathrooms, 50” Smart TV in the lounge, small TV in the kitchen/diner, WiFi throughout and a private south facing patio. The major Cotswold towns and villages are all within 20 miles as we are centrally located within the Cotswold AONB. A spacious cottage. Completely refurbished, two modern bathrooms (one is en-suite), fully fitted kitchen and utility including washer and dryer. There is a 50” Smart TV which can connect to all of the popular streaming services if you subscribe, there is also a DVD player and we have a selection of films to watch in front of the fire. Towels, bedding and essentials in the kitchen are all supplied including tea, coffee, butter, milk and eggs. We supply plenty of wood to burn which should cover your stay with us. There is also a small honesty bar in the cottage. Parking is off-road and designated. Main bus routes are a 10 minute walk away and give quick access to Cheltenham and Gloucester. Loads of public footpaths are nearby, great for long walks onto the Cotswolds and the Cotswold Way itself is close by for those using that and wanting to stay a night before recommencing their route. Access is via a secure key box but we are generally around. Happy to help with ideas for places to visit, local walks, places to eat and drink and where to go that’s not as touristy. We bake a lot so no doubt there will be cake! Very quiet but close to loads of Amenities. A great place for breakfast is only 5 minutes away. We have fairly dark skies here with no street lights so do bring your binoculars. Not only for the heavens either, we have lots of Buzzards and Red Kites too. We are close to Coopers Hill; famous for the cheese rolling, an uphill walk of about half an hour. Further afield are all of the famous villages of the Cotswolds, Stow, Bourton, Bibury, Broadway and Winchcombe to name a few. There are lots of excellent pubs and restaurants in the vicinity and we are happy to recommend some local good ones. You are welcome to use our 3 acre field which is opposite the cottage. It’s lovely to stroll around and great if you have a dog with you as it’s completely enclosed bringing peace of mind. Easy to get around. Lots of choices for transport. Parking for one vehicle is off-road. Plenty of main roads to travel further field, the M5 is only 5 minutes away, M4 is 30 minutes to junction 15. The A46 and A417 give access to lots of local towns and villages. The world famous Cheltenham Racecourse is only 6 miles away. Lots of the Cotswold villages are within 10-20 minutes, it’s great for cycling although it can be hilly! We are happy for you to bring one well behaved dog. Please don’t allow your pet upstairs or on any of the furniture. We have our own 3 acre field which is enclosed so you are welcome to use that to exercise your dog, to have a picnic or just to enjoy. There is a BBQ available when the weather permits.
