Elm Lodge / Hot Tub & country views, Billingsley
My sister and I have been successfully running Elm Lodge since lockdown was lifted in 2021 and have welcomed numerous guests during that time. Our feedback and reviews have been excellent. The lodge is immaculately presented and located on a beautiful, peaceful site amid the rural Shropshire countryside. The lodge has a large sun deck with a partially sunken hot tub, accessed via the patio doors leading from the lounge. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Elm Lodge is extremely spacious and airy, decorated with light contemporary furnishings and accessories. The roomy living area has two large comfortable sofas, a dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen with integrated appliances. The property has one king sized bedroom with en-suite and one twin room with two single beds. There is also a family bathroom. Private parking is directly outside the lodge. All of the property. We can be contacted by email, text or phone call during your stay. The lodge is located in the heart of the Shropshire countryside with walking and cycling paths nearby and access to the Jack Mytton Way. Rays Farm is a third of a mile from the lodge and is a lovely day out for the children. The nearest pub, which serves excellent food, is 2.4 miles away. The nearest shops and convenience stores are 3 miles away. Billingsley is located between Bridgnorth and Bewdley. Historic Bridgnorth is approximately 12 minutes drive away and has a good choice of cafes and pubs. The Cliff Top Funicular Railway is worth a visit, as is the Severn Valley railway. The Georgian town of Bewdley is approximately 15 minutes away and here you can take a stroll down by the river or visit one of its museums before stopping off for a meal and drink in one of the many pubs or cafes. The Severn Valley railway stops here too. A 10 minute drive will take you to the heart of the Wyre Forest and the West Midlands Safari Park is a 20 minute drive away. Chelmarsh Reservoir is 10 minutes away, where you can paddle board, open water swim or sail. Pre-booking essential. Ironbridge, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury are all charming towns and well worth visiting. Billingsley is located in a rural area and public transport is limited. You will need to drive or hire a taxi to get around. Details of local taxi firms can be found in the lodge. The nearest convenience store is the Co-op at Highley. Both Sainsburys and Asda will deliver to site. There is a Sainsbury's store in the centre of Bridgnorth, as well as a Marks & Spencer food hall. Aldi is located on the Stourbridge Road. Please be aware that the hot tub is emptied and sanitised and therefore may not be at optimum temperature on the afternoon of your arrival if it has only just been refilled. The hot tub is monitored daily during your stay. No pets allowed.
