We are located in the quiet neighborhood of Whispering Pines in Cobb, CA. With lots of activities right outside the door, you'll have plenty to do but this is also the perfect retreat to stay in and relax! The Cobb Haus is located at the end of a quiet dirt road of a rural neighborhood. (Please note: there are neighbors, however the cabin is situated in a way that it faces out into the forest making it feel private and secluded when inside. The deck however, can be seen by the neighbor). It is nestled in the dogwood trees with a beautiful deck (and an outdoor shower!). It offers one large open common space as well as a bedroom and living room with amazing tree views - it feels like you're in a treehouse! The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed with a memory foam topper and quality linens. Amenities include: - TV with Hulu, Amazon and Netflix - Wifi - Cooking utensils, spices, etc for basic cooking needs - Chemex pour over coffee maker - Electric milk frother - Coffee and tea - Spring water suitable for drinking straight from the tap - High quality linens, including Serena and Lily bedding - Outdoor shower - Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc - Hairdyer - Extra bedding, roll out beds, linens and blankets - Board games, cards and books - Bluetooth speaker - Phone chargers for iPhone and Android - Propane BBQ - Toys for kids of all ages, just let us know your child's age - Extra towels to take to the local pool - A list of things to do and places to see in the area will be provided ...and more! Guests have access to the whole home. Someone is available just down the road for any emergencies or issues that may arise. We are also a text or phone call away for any question or concerns. The neighborhood is very rural with lots of dirt roads which can make driving here in the winter somewhat tricky. Occasionally it snows in the winter and may require a 4WD. Please plan accordingly. The cabin is at the end of a quiet dirt road, with only a few surrounding neighbors. Because our cabin is nestled in the mountains, it is important to remember that it can feel like quite a drive! So please make sure to map it out from your location so you are not surprised by this. It is also important to note that this is a rustic cabin on a dirt road and with that comes a little dust! ;) Conveniently located minutes from the grocery store, coffee shop, golfing, hiking trails, community pool, Harbin Hot Springs, wine tasting and more! Drive time to towns close by: Middletown - 10 min Kelseyville - 25 min Lakeport - 35 min Calistoga - 40 min St. Helena - 60 min Napa - 1hr 15min San Francisco - 2 hours **Please note that we are following strict COVID cleaning protocols to ensure the safety of our guests and cleaners, and because of this, we have recently raised our cleaning fee. In addition to taking extra precautions on our end, we also ask that guests to do the same by leaving the space extra clean upon departure including removing their own garbage, stripping bed linens and disinfecting all high touch areas such as door knobs and surfaces before leaving the premises. Thank you for understanding and complying during this unique time. The main heat source is a wood stove. It is important that you know how to light a fire and keep it going to ensure that your stay is warm and comfortable. Wood is only provided during the colder months (November-March) and enough wood will be provided for a couple of days max. If your stay is longer than this, you can purchase wood from the local store or bring some with you. Bring extra layers as it does get chilly in the evening, even in the summer. It is also a good idea to bring some kind of mosquito/bug repellent. We do have some space heaters as well but in the very cold months, a fire will keep the house the warmest. The stairs going down to the cabin are quite steep, please be very careful walking down them. We have one security camera facing the front door for yours (and our) safety.
