Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Only a very short walk into the lovely village of lyndhurst with cafes, restaurants and shops, or head out for miles across the open forest or simply enjoy the views from the peaceful garden in the summer house! Pemberton cottage dates back well over 100 years. It is situated next to the open forest with views across paddocks and fields, set in a peaceful location down a short gravel track yet only just a short walk from the village of Lyndhurst in the heart of The New Forest. Lyndhurst is a vibrant and busy village with bike hire, several cafes including one with it’s own coffee roastery, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. The cottage has a lovely garden with summer house where you can sit back and relax admiring the views across the forest. Forest animals and wildlife will surround you, coming within arms length. We respectfully ask that you admire these wonderful creatures but please do not touch or fed them. At dusk you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the deer and at certain times of the season heat them rutting. Birds of Prey regularly fly overhead and owls can be heard and sometimes seen during the evening. Inside the cottage there is a large kitchen dinner for entertaining with washing machine ! Next to the Kitchen is the cosy snug and across the hall is the warm and cosy Lounge. The cottage sleeps a maximum of six. There are the 3 bedrooms (two doubles and one king) the master has an original fireplace and overlooks the front garden, the second room is a double, it is a cosy room overlooking the pretty garden and paddock. The last bedroom has a king sized bed and benefits from tri aspect views across the paddocks, forest and fields! * Please note the stairs are steeper than average, so are not suitable for the very young ( without assistance) or very elderly / disabled. No stair gates are supplied. * BEDROOMS ARE NOT LARGE, however one can Accommodate a travel cot and ample storage throughout the cottage! * well behaved dogs welcomed. No not toilet trained puppies.
