Fifty Shades of Green | Family Vacation Farmhouse

Welcome to our charming 1925 farmhouse just a few blocks off of Hwy 1, but surrounded by 3 acres of natural beauty. We often call it "Fifty Shades of Green!" Perfect location and space for a family vacation or get together with friends. Close to local wineries, hiking trails and the lake. Views of the surrounding pastures and hills complete the picture! Stop in to recharge your batteries for the drive or get away from it all at our peaceful retreat! The farmhouse can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably. It is decorated in tasteful rustic style with plenty of modern conveniences such as Wifi, TVs and newer stainless steel appliances. There are 3 bedrooms with queen beds located on the 2nd floor. Fluffy pillows, thick memory foam mattresses and fresh linens ensure a good night's sleep. Up another flight of stairs is an additional attic bedroom with 2 twin beds accessed by a secret bookcase! There is a full bathroom on the 2nd floor and a half bath on the main floor. On the main floor, guests have access to the full kitchen, living room, half bathroom and laundry room. Also enjoy the large wrap-around veranda with spectacular views from a variety of sitting areas. Use the BBQ to grill out, play games on the lawn or just relax and enjoy the surroundings. We stay in a private suite in the house separated by the entryway with its own facilities and private entrance. We are available to help out or answer any questions you may have, but do not share any of the spaces in the house. Sorrento is about half-way between Vancouver and Calgary. We are just a few blocks off the main highway with a gas station and wonderful coffeehouse very nearby. Several local wineries are just a short drive away. We are only a few minutes from the public beaches of Shuswap Lake as well! There is Wifi throughout the property, but because we are in a rural setting, it can be spotty or slow at times. It's a good excuse to unplug a bit -- but if you really need a reliable connection, the nearby coffeehouse has high speed. We also have two extremely friendly cats who love to greet guests and will even snuggle up with you. Please let us know if you are allergic or otherwise opposed to feline friends, and we will keep them out of the house during your stay.
