Our beautiful rustic tiny house cabin is the perfect couples getaway or just a great place to stop in for the night. Our tiny house sits down by our pond tucked away into the woods and is very private and secluded. Sit out on the front porch and watch the deer. Play games, read a book, go fishing or just rest and relax. Located just off of I65 outside the historical little town of Franklin, KY. We are located between Nashville (45min), Bowling Green (35min) and Mammoth Cave (55 min). If you are looking for a tiny house experience, this is it! This tiny house cabin is approximately 200 square feet. It may be small, but it packs a lot in it. It has a full size luxury bed on the main floor (no stairs or ladder to climb). There is a seating area with tv and WiFi to relax and a small but full kitchen. There is an “actual” toilet and shower too. DISCLAIMER- This is a tiny house, everything is smaller including the bathroom. With that said, rest and relax, go down to the pond and fish or walk the trails. There are 20 acres to explore! There are three other cabins on the property. There is a large house at the other end of the property that is also listed on AirBnB. The other two cabins belong to our parents who take care of the property. They keep to themselves and will respect your privacy. You may see them sitting on their porch or sitting down by the pond at times. They will say hi and chat with you if you engage them. They will help you with anything you have need of. This is a large property, and in order to keep it looking beautiful you may see or hear maintenance being done at times. Things to do: Franklin (15-20 minute drive) This historical little town has lots to offer. There are a number of great antique stores, little shops and restaurants. Down on the town square every Thursday night all the locals gather with their antique hot rods where you can go and see them. Then on Friday nights there is a live free concert on the courthouse lawn. Or go to the drive in theater and watch a double feature. One night, head over to the Kentucky Downs and watch a horse race. Nashville (45 minute drive) is the capital of Tennessee and home to Vanderbilt University. Legendary country music venues include the Grand Ole Opry House, home of the famous “Grand Ole Opry” stage and radio show. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and historic Ryman Auditorium are Downtown, as is the District, featuring honky-tonks with live music and the Johnny Cash Museum, celebrating the singer's life. Bowling Green (30 minute drive) Home of the National Corvette Museum which features many cars, including classics and prototypes. On the outskirts for town, Beech Bend Raceway stages drag races. The Kentucky Museum has exhibits on state history, including one about the Civil War. Riverview at Hobson Grove is a restored 1800s house and museum. The Lost River Cave has a large cavern accessible by boat. Mammoth Cave National Park (55 minute drive) is the longest recorded cave system in the world with more than 400 miles explored and mapped. Admission to the national park is free. A fee is charged for camping and cave tours. Activities include cave tours, hiking, horseback riding, biking, picnicking, camping, backcountry camping, canoeing, fishing, and some of the most pleasurable driving in Kentucky. Mammoth Cave National Park's overnight accommodations include campgrounds and hotel facilities. Uber is not readily available here. It is recommended that you bring or rent a car to get around.
