Garden Cottage in East Concord Village

Stay in a completely renovated, private cottage located in quaint East Concord Village, only 5 minutes to beautiful downtown Concord and with easy access to the major highways. All new kitchen, bath, and furnishings, private patio, off street parking, and a peaceful garden setting. The cottage features an eat-in kitchen, cozy living room, full bath, and large, light-filled bedroom. Perfect for 1-2 people, but with a twin sofa bed for a third. We have fully restored this historic 19th century guest house. Originally located on the grounds of a nearby tavern, and later serving as the village dentist's office, this charming cottage was moved in the 1950s to its current location. We embarked on an extensive renovation, recently completed, that focused on providing modern, updated amenities without sacrificing the cottage's historic charm. This ideal location (just a minute's drive from I-93) allows you to enjoy a private, country setting with the convenience of being only minutes away from the shopping and restaurants of historic downtown Concord, centrally located in NH. Skiing, beaches, and the Lakes Region are all within a 30-minute drive. The Seacoast and spectacular White Mountains are an hour away. We can also suggest a number of local hiking, biking, canoe/kayak, snowshoeing, and nordic skiing options. The cottage comes with full linens, shampoos, and soaps. The kitchen is stocked with a generous selection of pots, pans, baking dishes, and utensils, in addition to cooking essentials such as coffee, tea, spices, baking ingredients, and the basic "stock" items needed to cook a meal. There's also cereals, oatmeal, eggs and milk for your use. We live on-site in a separate house, and are available if needed, but respect your privacy and allow you to relax in your own space. We are happy to provide suggestions for local activities, restaurant recommendations, etc. Because we actively enjoy the great NH outdoors, we also are happy to provide guidance and suggestions for any hiking, biking, skiing, etc you may be interested in. The cottage is located in the village of East Concord, about two miles outside downtown Concord. We are less than a mile from the highway, so commuting is easy and shopping and restaurants are within 5-10 minutes away. Guests do need a car. There is no public transportation. If you prefer to bike, there is a bike path that leads directly into downtown Concord.
