River House is a dog friendly(limit 1 dog) sweet little cabin, with 1 bedroom and sleeping loft, near the banks of the Methow River in the Lost River area 7 miles northwest of Mazama. Enjoy breathtaking views of Last Chance Point and Driveway Butte. Whether you plan to cross-country ski, snowshoe, hike, or just relax on the river's edge, the River House offers all this and more within 100 feet of its rear deck. A seasonal river channel is only steps away from your backdoor -- a few steps further and you can play in the year-round Methow River. Lodging accommodations and amenities include two queen beds (one in bedroom, one in sleeping loft), gas fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen(coffee pot includes coffee grinder), small sleeper sofa in living room, lots of windows, deck on a seasonal river channel with beautiful views, picnic table, charcoal BBQ, and park benches, all in a nicely treed setting. River House is located in the Lost River community which is 6 miles from the Mazama Store. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and therefore WE DO NOT guarantee that our internet speed will meet the needs of your work or school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through the Airbnb system describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider and they will take it from there. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner that you may be used to is a challenge. Your patience is required! We rent lodging, not office space. You may also access the Winthrop library's enhanced internet speed(parking lot or inside the library) or pay a fee and go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and we can not make them show up any faster than they are able. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, (Website hidden by Airbnb) plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation.
