The apartment has a detached and reserved entrance by a garden and a breath-taking overview balcony for breakfasts and dining-out, with a stunning look-out over the village of Montefalcone, Piceni's hills, up to the Adriatic sea. All rooms are wide and comfortable. There is no air-conditioning, but it's not needed as altitude keeps cool even in deep summer. The entrance is reserved from the street by 3 steps to the garden balcony. There is not a reserved car park, but many free parks along the nearby street. Montefalcone Appennino is a pictoresque medieval gem placed over an astonish rock reef at 700m above sea level, where you have an amazing 360° overview of Sibillini Mountains, Piceno Hills up to Adriatic sea. It's a really peaceful nest beside a lovely wood hill with so many trails for a pleasant walking, trekking and cycling, discovering sites such as La Fessa or Smerillo town. Local gastronomy, winery and traditional products are excellent and unmissable. We will be pleased to provide you the best suggestions. The apartment is placed beside the Sibillini Mountains Park, so it is a perfect camp-base to find out its beauty and for who is keen on trekking or cycling, as just in half hour drive, you may easily reach the nicest park sites such as Gole dell' Infernaccio, Fiastra lake, Lame Rosse, Castelluccio di Norcia, Forca di Presta and mountain retreats. At the same time you are just around 40 minutes drive to the Adriatci sea of Altidona, Civitanova Marche, Porto Sant' Elpidio and in just 1 hour you arrive at San Benedetto del Tronto or Conero. In 2hrs you may arrive to the wonderful Grotte di Frasassi. Don't miss to discover the many pictoresque towns and villages lying over the Marche hills landscape, such as Ascoli, Fermo, Amandola, Sarnano, Offida, Moresco, Torre di Palme... where, escpecially in summer time, lots of traditional fests take place. Although Montefalcone Appennino is well connected by bus with the many regional cities and towns, a private car is needed to be free to move around. Montefalcone Appennino is just 5min walk and has a supermarket, bar/pub, bakery, newspaper's, post service and a nice restaurant/pizzeria. A larger town is Comunanza, just 8km far where you may find detailed shops and a quarter market every saturday morning. Bike Host Info: Bicycle tours may be arranged both on street and mountain and even on gravel bikes. Montefalcone Appennino is a perfect camp-base for lovely tours on Piceno Hills, discovering medieval villages, colourful landscapes and delicious gourmet, but a great start-point to discover the Sibillini Mounts Park as well. If you are experienced cyclists, you may then enjoy the long Sibillini Mountains Park's climbs and descents (Sassotetto, Forca di Presta, Prati di Ragnolo...), Piceno's gravel roads (Le Bore, San Ruffino, Garulle, Castelmanardo, Moresco...), or amazing trails and singletracks around the Mountains peaks (Fargno, Val d'Ambro, Scentelle, Val di Panico, Tre Santi...) for XC, AM and EN. Montefalcone surroundings already provide so many lovely cycle-trips, rounding directly from home for street, gravel or mountain bikes (so many trails and mtb dedicated singletracks right outside the door)
