Watch the New River flow in the distance from the screened-in porch of the spacious home on your own 11-acre private Island. Stroll to the shore and enjoy relaxing, bass fishing, and admiring the sights and sounds of the water. Bald Eagles sometimes fly between the mountains. Hike through the woods to spot deer, flying squirrels, owls, and other West Virginia wildlife. Cook a meal on the outdoor grill. Sit back by the fire - or enjoy tv and air conditioning inside. Wi-Fi works great. The home has two private bedrooms featuring double beds, a loft with a twin bed and a double bed. Large living room and dining area open to a full kitchen. Two bathrooms - one with a tub and one with a shower/laundry room - large outdoor charcoal grill. Spacious screened in deck with lots of seating and a porch swing. 11 acres of land all yours to explore. The home sleeps 8 and there is plenty of room for tent camping in the yard and around the island. Minimum age is 5 years old. Guests have the entire island and home. We provide the initial and final boat rides for guests and gear. Additional shuttles off the island are $30. You CANNOT DRIVE to the island. If you would like to come off the island for the day it is a $30 boat shuttle fee. Once on the island you will be left at peace. Your safety is our priority. With over 50 years combined River Guide experience and annual CPR/First Aid for the Professional Responder certifications - you can be confident in our quick reply to any emergency. The island in the confluence of the New and Greenbrier Rivers between Coney Island and Bushes Island. To get to the island you will need to ride our boat. Our shop offers Guided raft tours and there are rafts and inflatable kayak (duckie) rentals available.
