Discounted prices may be available for longer stays of a week or more, please inquire. The Fiddlers cabin is open and spacious yet comfortable and cozy. Tucked into a quiet neighborhood in the woods. Originally built in 1909 but recently updated. Has two bedrooms with two queen beds and bunk beds. Great for families and your dog is welcome with an additional cleaning fee. The Fiddler's Cabin is nestled among Bigcone Douglas firs, incense cedars, and black oak trees. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the peaceful quietude. Slow down from the bustle of everyday life and bbq on the deck. Listen to birds sing while relaxing in a classic screened-in patio. Snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove. Enjoy family dinners at the dining table. This cabin was built in 1909 and has been recently restored. It feels open and spacious while still intimate and cozy. Vaulted ceilings in the living room and master bedroom. Original farmhouse sink and range in the kitchen. Clawfoot tub as well as a standing shower in the bathroom. Hall walls and interior doors have been handmade and reclaimed from original exterior siding. The kitchen is stocked with items for your convenience, including pots, pans, toaster, coffee pot, and microwave. Palomar Mountain has many hiking trails, state park, and observatory within driving distance of the cabin. A county park is within walking distance which is great for picnics and exploring. You may find yourself wondering if you've left Southern California and traveled all the way to the Sierras. There is a propane BBQ on the deck. We are up on the mountain sometimes and you might see us, but we want to give you your own space. You will receive a door code for check-in. While neighbors are close by, it is a quiet neighborhood. When you sit on the front deck you can look out at the trees and feel like you are isolated in the woods. You can drive to many attractions on the mountain, such as the famous observatory, the State Park, and hiking trails.
