The Firehouse

Our home is the beautifully renovated South Bower's Beach Firehouse. We have 360 degree views of the Delaware Bay and the Murderkill River. Our home is located across the street from a serene private beach, where you can enjoy swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. We have gorgeous views of spectacular sunsets over the marsh from our large deck. This is a bird watcher's paradise. Enjoy the quiet life on South Bowers Beach, Delaware's hidden secret. Only 8 miles from DE Turf fields and 23 miles from Dover International Speedway. Spend a day on the beach or bike riding along the majestic grasslands. Enjoy a game of horseshoes in the backyard or a drink at the Tiki bar. Our home has a gourmet kitchen and comfortable seating. Guests have access to the entire home. Enjoy it! You may reach us by cell phone with any questions or concerns. Our neighborhood is very quiet. We are only 30 miles from Lewes, Delaware and the Cape May Ferry. Tanger Outlets are only 32 miles away if you want to enjoy a day of shopping. Rehoboth Beach is approximately 35 miles away. The road is subject to tidal flooding.during high tide and full moons (about once a month). There is an app available for mobile phones called Tides Near Me (its free). Once you open it, pick Delaware, Milford, Mispillion River Entrance. It will give you the best tide information. Higher clearance vehicles recommended. The state is supposed to raise the road and dredge the marsh in spring of 2022, so this won’t continue to be an issue. We have 2-3 spaces to park in front of our home in the driveway. There is additional parking on the road on the side of our home along the fence. Plenty of space to park! Our home is a nice location for families visiting the DE Turf for sporting events. It’s a short drive down the road to relax after a long day on the turf.
