Whether you're climbing the 46 High Peaks, trekking Adirondack trails, kayaking on Mirror Lake or exploring the shops of Lake Placid, this is your mountain getaway. Enjoy views of High Peaks from the deck (Cascade, Porter, Pitchoff, a 'peek' of Marcy and others), watch the ever-changing sky, and follow deer grazing in the meadow below. Guests who've stayed with us just can't get enough of the view! And it's a perfect escape from the city - bring your whole family and sneak in some work too! The Daks is an all-season camp located in Keene, NY. The kitchen appliances include a refrigerator, electric stove/oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The living room offers a lovely view with large windows and has wood burning fireplace. There are three bedrooms (2 queen beds, 2 singles), two full bathrooms with showers, charcoal grill, picnic table and a spacious lawn for outdoor activities. We normally require a 7-night stay, but will consider 3-night stays on certain weekends (please message us). We do have high-speed internet, but come ready to connect with nature and read that book you've been wanting to curl up with! Sorry, pets cannot be accommodated at this rental and of course, we offer a smoke free environment. We consider this house our home, and use it many times a year. We welcome guests who will treat it with love :-) IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to COVID-19, if we have bookings end and start on the same day, we may ask our parties to adjust their check-out and check-in times so we can make sure we can practice safe cleaning procedures. We'll try to be as accommodating as possible! We're available via text/phone and email, and have a property manager available for any on-site issues you may encounter. Relax with nature on the wrap-around deck while enjoying gorgeous 180-degree views, and take a hike up Little and Big Crow just 1/4 mile up the road. We're one town from Lake Placid, a quick 15 minute drive through the mountains, 30 minutes from Whiteface Ski Mountain and right in the middle of many 46-er trail heads. Car is necessary, there is not public transportation in the area.
