Hidden Valley Cabin #1-2

Enjoy our picturesque little cabins tucked away in our own little hidden valley. Set in remote Southern Utah, our cabins are in close proximity to Zion (34 miles) and Bryce Canyon (41 miles) National Parks, and to Cedar Breaks National Monument (38 miles). Nestled next to the unique small town of Alton, our cabins will take you back to “the simple life.” Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, our cabins have something to offer everyone. Located 5 miles off Highway 89 on 23 acres of southern Utah landscape, these studio cabins are located in the cozy little town of Alton. This location is a prime, central stay if you are looking to see all the sites that Southern Utah has to offer. We are only an hour away from Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park, and Cedar Breaks. 45 minutes from Kanab and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and even closer to many more “local” hikes. This cabin has a unique history dating back to the 1920’s when it was built in Bryce Canyon National Park. Instead of being torn down it was moved to its current location in the small town of Alton in 1985. It has recently been renovated to fit its unique simplicity. This cabin is one of a series of five other quaint cabins. You will have your own cozy private studio with a queen bed and a full bathroom with a walk in shower. The room includes a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. *Cabin 1/2 is has a door that opens to both sides and is rented as an entire unit unlike other units. Cabin 1/2 has 2 queen beds and one single bed in the entire unit. Perfect for a family who is traveling together. A propane heater, AC unit and ceiling fan are in the room for guest comfort (according to season.) There is WIFI but no phone service for most providers. This is truly a “get away from it all” experience. The closest shopping areas are in Orderville (20 minutes away) if you are coming from the Zion area, or in Bryce Canyon City (1 hour away) if you are coming from Bryce. Please be aware that these shopping places usually close at 9 (closed on Sunday), so be prepared and stock up before that time. There are also local restaurants that are located between 20 to 45 minutes away. Guests will need to turn off of highway 89 onto the Alton road and follow the scenic drive for 5 miles into the small town of Alton. There will then be a dirt road that you will follow for 400 yards. Please be aware that you will be driving on a dirt road which could be muddy with rain/snow. The cabin has a gravel parking area. There is WiFi access. No smoking indoors but discrete, outdoor smoking is allowed. We as the owners are moving away from the property so that we can go back to school for a little while. We do have family that is just down the road managing the cabins for us that are available for anything you may need! Their information will be given once you have booked the cabin just in case you need anything. Alton is a small little town surrounded by rolling hills and has a beautiful view of the edge of Bryce Canyon. This is a small, family community consisting of only nine blocks. On warm evenings feel free to stroll around town and enjoy all the sight of fields, hills and possibly even some livestock. Don't forget to take a picture with our unique "Whoa" stop signs. We would like to ask to have all “loud activities” be done by 10 pm. There are also pets located on the property so please be respectful of them too, since this is their home. :) Also we have other cabins #3-10 that are rental options if you are traveling with a group. There is also a community fire pit that you can roast marshmallows or hot dogs over while you enjoy the clear night sky!
