Pretty detached stone cottage in Derbyshire Dales
Traditional detached stone cottage in peaceful rural location on the outskirts of Dethick, Lea and Holloway. Situated near the confluence of Littlemoor and Lea Brooks amidst trees and fields, Brook Cottage provides a relaxing bolthole: perfect for that romantic getaway for two or as a base for exploring the Dales and Peaks for up to four. Village pub and shop within easy walking distance. Great local walks and cycling from the doorstep. Many popular tourist spots easy to reach by car. Inside, Brook Cottage is fully modernised whilst retaining plenty of traditional cottage charm. In the winter snuggle up by the wood burning stove with a glass of red. In the spring and summer relax in the secluded patio area and listen to the brook and rustling of the trees. Two comfortable bedrooms, one with king-size double and the other with two single beds. Views from bedrooms over garden, trees and fields. Shared upstairs bathroom, including bath, rainshower, and heated towel rail. Downstairs, fully-fitted kitchen (including induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, full height fridge freezer, dishwasher), sitting room (inc. wood burner, Samsung Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, dining table for four), utility (inc. washing machine), WC and boot/coat cupboard. Stone floors with underfloor heating (it's really cosy in winter!). Outside, there is a patio with table and chairs for four. We live in a separate house on the other side of the brook, so we're on hand to help guests with any questions. Brook Cottage was originally the gardener's cottage and is within the gardens of the main house, so you may see us in the garden occasionally. Whilst guests have their own driveway and parking, as well as separate patio area (separate from the main house), not all parts of the garden around the cottage are available for use by guests. Please note that the mobile signal is patchy/non-existent indoors depending on your network. It's generally possible to pick up a signal outside however. No need to worry about finding a space on the road outside as there's ample off-street parking. Cromford station is a 10 minute taxi ride away. Travel time between Cromford station and Derby station is about 30 minutes (no changes).
