The Church Garden View
Dive into the history of this unique and memorable place. This lovely heritage wooden church was built in 1929. At that time it was known as the ‘box’ on the hill. In the 1980’s it became a residential property and went through a few incarnations. Today it boasts a modern New York style loft feel, eclectically and beautifully appointed. The spaces provided create a great option for a staycation or as a work-from-home alternative. The main living area is a fresh take on how an older style building can be transformed into something quite unique. The high ceilings in the main living area give the whole space a feeling of openness and light. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax and the large dining table easily accommodates 8 people making shared dinner experiences a great opportunity to meet new people. The large kitchen may be used, with a few restrictions, and is very well stocked with plenty of cooking equipment. The verandah provides a nice respite in a peaceful leafy setting. Gardens, both native and edible, surround the entire home. * Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Guests are free to access the main living area, kitchen (with a few restrictions), dining area, fireplace, front gardens, and the large verandah. The fire pit out back is occasionally lit, but is only to be accessed with the owners supervision. I have been managing, co-hosting Air bnb properties for 4 years. I love meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories. I encourage guests to feel free to get to know the other guests, but I’m also very mindful of people wanting time to themselves to relax. There are so many things to see and do in the area which I am happy to recommend as well as some fantastic local restaurants and cafes. Cooroy is know for its community of friendly locals who are more than happy to help out with advice, recommendations or a friendly chat. A short walk gets you straight into the heart of Cooroy where you’ll find a great selection of cafes, restaurants, a library, local breweries, ‘The Butter Factory’ (local art gallery) and a host of shops catering to almost everyone’s needs. The house is very well located ... - Main highway, 5 minute drive. - Noosa Hastings Street and Noosa Main Beach 20-25 minute drive. - Sunshine Coast/ Maroochydore Airport, 25 minute drive. - Cooroy Train Station is 3 blocks away. - Buses into Noosa, next street over. There is plenty of street parking available, and the choice is yours whether to walk or drive the short distance into the main part of town. This home is owner occupied so there are no parties or large gatherings allowed. Loud noise, music etc is kept to a minimum. The home operates as a place catering more towards a peaceful stay than a boisterous one. Staycations and or remote work from ‘home’ do well here. * To note there are pets on the property, very friendly, 2 cats and 2 dogs.
