Chiffchaff Cottage is the picture-perfect Norfolk Cottage. Arrive at Chiffchaff and you will be greeted with a warm welcome. This lovingly converted flint cottage sits in a row of period cottages across the lane from the village chapel, and overlooks undulating, immaculately maintained picturesque parkland belonging to the West Raynham estate. Sympathetically restored and styled, the cottage still retains plenty of character. Decorated in a mix of soft greens and creams, it feels very relaxing but it's practical too. You will appreciate an interesting collection of artworks and the wood burning stove is an absolute winner when you want to snuggle up on a cool winter’s evening, while taking in an Amazon prime video or advantage of the Blu-Ray player. With a well-equipped kitchen, you have everything you need to put together a delicious meal using some fabulous local produce. You can opt for alfresco dining on warmer days in the outer courtyard, or take a seat in the brick-built summer room that sits between the cottage and its fully-enclosed 'secret garden', perfect if you want a quiet spot to read a book or to enjoy an afternoon snack or snooze. Upstairs are two inviting bedrooms (a double and full-size bunk bed room), and a shared family bathroom. Chiffchaff is an idyllically romantic get away for a couple, for a short or longer break, but is just as appealing for a young family as well as friends wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy world, and relax in a pretty, peaceful village. Make sure you bring your walking boots or cycles too; you will be rewarded with quiet lanes, wonderful scenery and a variety of birdlife and wildlife. Your dogs will love it too! There is a dining table with seating for four. Kitchen Well-equipped with electric oven, hob, fridge with icebox compartment and microwave. Rear hallway Plenty of storage space in rear hall area for muddy boots and coats. Door to courtyard, outside dining room and private lawned garden beyond. Shower/utility room Shower with wash basin and WC, washing machine. First Floor: Master bedroom Large bedroom with double bed and lovely bed linens and a feature fireplace. Views across to open countryside and village chapel from front window. Bathroom Large 'Jack and Jill' style bathroom with doors opening into both the master and bunk bedroom. bedroom. Bath with shower over, WC and wash basin. Bedroom two With full-size bunk beds and views to rear garden. Outside: Outside courtyard area (right of way exists for neighbouring properties although this is rarely exercised), leading to courtyard garden and private lawned garden beyond. There is garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Garden room Beyond the outside courtyard there is a brick built summer room with comfortable seating. Parking Parking for two cars outside the cottage on the quiet lane to the front. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). All of the bedding provided is synthetic. There is a shared access path between the gardens, although this is not often used and therefore should not be a disturbance to your peace and quiet. Please don't allow dogs to use this shared access unaccompanied, you can get to Chiffchaff's private garden through the garden room.
