Private room(s) in Strathbogie, close to Hume Fwy

Cabin style house in the Strathbogie township that backs onto Spring creek. Fruit trees, wildlife, gorgeous sunrise / sunset, wood fire heating, very private premise that's enclosed by the garden. Activities nearby such as 4WD / dirt biking, bush walking, mountain biking, bird watching, cycling, kayaking / rafting, fishing, food and wine and the snow is not far away. Great for small families, travelers, adventurers, tourists, remote workers, creative and outdoors types. The bedrooms are basic (bed, power, closet) but you will have loads of privacy in your room. There is a smart TV and Foosball in the living room and fast reliable wifi. You will have your own private toilet. Shower space is shared. You can have access to the whole house, with the exception of the master bedroom. Most of the time we are at the house, but sometimes we will be in Melbourne. We are friendly and like to socialise, but have no issue giving you complete privacy. If needed then someone will always be nearby. Well traveled and fluent in English and Spanish. We are situated along Spring creek (full of redfin perch) and there is a beautiful walking trail along the creek where you are highly likely to see koalas, wallabies, wombats, echnidas and sometimes other wildlife such as deer. There is a trendy coffee shop and general store a short walk away, they serve toasted sandwiches and different types of soup and stock local wines, beer, honey and other goods from the region. The neighbourhood is as safe as it gets. Everyone nearby is super friendly and will greet you if you walk past them. Lots of state forest is nearby as well as the awesome swimming hole "Polly McQuinns" which is just 6kms away. By car during the day: 15 minutes from Euroa / Hume Hwy (30 minutes if you are towing a heavy caravan). 2 hours from Melbourne CBD It's highly recommended that you drive much slower on the stretch between the Hume and our house after dark, as the roads are full of wildlife such as kangaroos and wombats which can cause a large amount of damage to your vehicle if hit at high speeds (limit is mostly 100km/h, we would recommend 60-70 after dark). I can pick you up or drop you off from Euroa if necessary, for a small fee. There is also a taxi service. We have bikes you can ride for free (not guaranteed as sometimes they will be in disrepair but you can ask in advance). We also have a fishing rod and inflatable kayak you can use. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen here, otherwise I can provide the following for lunch or dinner: Steak and fries: $15 Stir fry: $12 Spaghetti Bolognese: $12 Spaghetti Napolitana (vegetarian): $10 Cheese tomato toastie: $7 And for breakfast: Toast with coffee/tea: Free Eggs on sourdough toast: $8 (additional sides: avocado, bacon, baked beans, sausage: $3 ea) Pancakes w/banana, raspberry, blueberry (dep on availability) and maple syrup: $12 We may have other options too, just ask us in advance.
