Private lockable room with DIY cooked breakfast!

Stay in our 100 year old renovated Queenslander home and help yourself to a full cooked breakfast on the veranda in the morning sun. Your own entrance. We keep to ourselves, so you can enjoy the kitchen. Wi-Fi, BBQ area, air-con room and pool. Safe secure off street parking. 5 mins to major shopping centre, airport and Uni. On the main road to Bundaberg from Childers, 4 hours from Brisbane. Large treed yard to stretch your legs, relax and a swim. And yes, we often have kangaroos in the backyard! Your room is on the first floor of our high set Queenslander home. There's a private access to the room. It is air conditioned with a Queen size double bed. An adjoining room has two bunks and a wardrobe. The room is private, secure and lockable and you can use the laundry. Your room opens onto the front veranda deck with internal access through the bunk room to the shared kitchen, bathroom, two toilets and the backdoor. You can relax on the deck or read a book in the rustic 'boat house,' take a stroll around the our 3 acre yard or have a swim. You may see some local kangaroos and if you don't, we know where they hang out near by! The room is ideal for visiting CQ Uni students. There is always someone home to help with any questions you may have about your accommodation or what to do in the local area. We are happy to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with you, but also appreciate that travelers enjoy their privacy. We are both retired and keep to ourselves when you visit, so as best we can, we leave the kitchen and amenities free for you busy travelers. Our location is south of the city of Bundaberg (5 minutes to major shopping complex.) Bundy offers everything you would expect from a regional city with shopping, entertainment and attractions. We are close to Sandy Hook which is an exceptional water skiing and boating destination and CQ University is just up the road. As we are a few minutes from town in a rural setting our home is more suited to travelers with their own transport. Our home is on the major road into town which makes us easy to find. The property has plenty of room (3 acres) for off street parking including trailers and caravans. There is traffic noise during the day, at night it is less and shouldn't disturb your rest, but light sleepers beware!
