Our Pelee house was built in the early 20th century by a ship's captain who chose a nice spot--a treed lot that sits above lake level and offers sweeping views--and built a sturdy, light-filled cottage with views of the lake from almost every room. The cottage sits on the lakefront of Pelee's North Bay, with nine acres of bird-filled old growth forest at the property's rear. Two large decks have plenty of seating facing the lake. Inside, the living room has two large picture windows for viewing Pelee's light show sunrises and sunsets, a 42-inch flatscreen TV, a stone fireplace, and plenty of comfortable seating. The new owner of the property is a librarian, so there is also a rotating collection of newer books and DVDs. The cottage's kitchen and bathroom were renovated in 2016. Call us anytime if you have questions during your stay! We're located right in the center of Pelee's North Shore. The Bakery, the Pelee Co-Op Grocery Store, The Anchor and Wheel Inn, Scudder Bar and Grill, and the Filling Station (ice cream, taco shack) restaurant are all within walking distance. You can plan to bring your vehicle by making a ferry reservation with Owen Sound Transportation, rent a bike from Comfortech Bike Rentals when you arrive.
