This delightful, ground floor converted barn sleeping two guests is located in the pretty village of Hunton, a small village popular with walkers and cyclists, surrounded by Yorkshire countryside and not far from the bustling market towns of Bedale and Leyburn. The renovated Bridge House Barn is ideal for couples and has a fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen with carefully selected modern amenities to create a top quality holiday retreat. A lovely wood burning stove, ready to ensure a warm and cosy atmosphere when cooler nights draw in, rests on a traditional Yorkshire stone hearth complementing the open-plan living and dining areas. Next to the modern shower room you will find a comfortable and stylishly decorated, good-size bedroom with a king-size bed and a wall-mounted television with Amazon fire stick, looking out onto the pretty cottage garden. The outside seating area is home to a bistro set and barbecue, making it a lovely sunny spot to relax and unwind. Additional Information: Sorry, no children, infants or pets. Outside: Gravelled seating area with garden furniture, charcoal barbecue, covered bike store and free roadside parking for one vehicle. Bridge House Barn is the perfect location to explore the great Yorkshire Dales. Within 20 minutes you can be in the beautiful market town of Richmond with its own Castle. Richmond is home to a plethora of attractions including local cinema The Station. On a rainy day take a trip down memory lane and indulge in some "proper Yorkshire produce" as you relax into the latest and greatest the film world has to offer. The Yorkshire Dales are a year round destination for many activities such as cycling, walking, nature watching, visiting historic castles, abbeys, bustling market towns and pretty villages. Stroll along the Leyburn Shawl where it is said Mary Queen of Scots dropped her shawl whilst escaping from nearby Castle Bolton. Visit Castle Bolton, a 14th century castle, still privately owned. Leyburn is known for being the gateway to the dales, full of history, the town is has several restaurants, cafes and pubs including The Sandpiper Inn, where you can indulge in some exquisite cuisine. Perhaps an afternoon walk sounds more appealing? If so Yorkshire will not let you down. Easby and Jervaulx Abbeys make perfect days out and are both within 30 minutes of Hunton. For the more adventurous of you Penhill resides near the popular town of Leyburn and is a great walk for all abilities. The Countryman's Inn is your "local" pub (currently not serving food until further notice) and is just a 5 minutes walk from the property, perfect for an evening stroll. Further a field, 14 miles away, Northallerton boasts plentiful shops and of course the famous Betty's Tearoom, known for the 'Fat Rascal'. Wander around the market that brings the town to life on a Wednesday and Saturday.
