The Sorting Room @ The Old Post Office.

The Sorting Room is located in the heart of this small, quiet, picturesque, quintessential Cotswolds village, and forms part of the village's former Old Post Office. We are just 4 Miles from Stow-on-The-Wold and 8 miles from Burford. We are a stone's throw away from our local award winning pub, just down the road from our friendly, well stocked village run community shop, and in the middle of all the country side this area of outstanding natural beauty has to offer. This charming guest house made from a solid oak frame, sits in the garden of The Old Post Office. It houses a separate bedroom with a comfy king sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with walk in soaker shower. There is a large airy kitchen/diner and living room where there is a fully fitted kitchen complete with under the counter fridge, oven, 4 hob cooker, Nespresso machine, kettle and toaster. There is also a large table and chairs in the kitchen (many of whom find comfortable to work from during the day) and a small patio table/chair set on the outside patio for you to enjoy in the summer months. You can also stay up to enjoy the summer sun with the use of a cosy fire pit (available on request). On street parking is available outside the property, with access to the Sorting Room via the side gate. Both me and my husband work full time, however we want to help you in any way we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If you have a request, then just message us and we will try our best to accommodate. Bledington is a gorgeous, very English Cotswolds village! We are very proud of our local pub, which is just a stone's throw away from the property and that has won Inn and Pub of the year several years running! We have a lovely, well stocked village shop selling locally sourced produce including fresh bread and pastries, fresh coffee, fruit, veg, confectionary and treats! Being just 3 minutes walk from the property you will be able to get most items you would need for your stay. The Sorting Room is just 1 mile walk from Kingham Station (1.5 hrs direct from Paddington). It takes about 20 mins to walk but if I am available and with notice, I will happily come pick you up from the station. You have access to the Oxfordsire Way and other bridal paths and walking areas. If your coming with a car, we have parking just outside the property on the street. If you are staying with a little person and would like us to put up a travel cot, supply a baby bath, a high chair, a steriliser, toys, etc, then please pop any requests in an message to me and I'll arrange for it to be in The Sorting Room for your arrival. With two sons ourselves we know how much packing is involved with little people in tow, so anything we can supply to make your stay more comfortable we will always endeavour to help! We very much welcome 4 legged friends, but if we kindly ask that they aren't up on any of the furniture or the bed. There is an uplift of £10 for stays with a pet. The Sorting Room sits at the end of our garden and is about 15 meters from the back of our house. We have recently had some renovation work done on our house (The Old Post Office) and as such our garden needs some attention as part of it was dug up to lay under ground pipes. It is clear, level and covered but not grassed yet. The Sorting Room does look over the garden so please do get in touch if you want more details regarding this.
