Cozy 1 Bed 1 Bath Dog Friendly Home

This 1 bedroom, 1 bath Chillicothe home is centrally located in the middle of town: short drive to grocery store, downtown shopping, restaurants and parks. Walking distance of carry out restaurants, gas stations and parks. 20-30 min drive to all 3 local hospitals, 15-30 min drive to most Caterpillar Facilities. 20-30 min drive to Peoria locations. Our house is right next to railroad tracks, not busy just runs a few times a week without a set schedule. You have full access of the main floor of the house except one room we have locked for storage. The upstairs is not available due to construction. This is not a shared residence other than we do use the garage. You will not have access to the garage. There is a full kitchen with oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot and garbage disposal. We have provided you with enough essentials to get you started on your stay. Off of the kitchen is a dining room, with a dining table that seats 4. We are currently adding on to our game, book and kids toy collection that is located in the dining area. There are folding chairs in the 3 season porch if you would need extra for inside use only. When the weather is below 20° you will need to use the new portable heater throughout the day and night in the dining area to keep the temp up in the house . We have also provided one for the bedroom just in case. FYI- there are a couple spots on ceiling tiles from all the snow and what appears to be a roof leak. As soon as weather clears we will get it taken care of, should not effect your stay. There is free onsite laundry with a washer, dryer, drying rack, iron and ironing board. We have provided you with several loads of laundry detergent and a few cleaning products for your stay in the cabinets above the washer/dryer. The living room/family room has a couch, chair, day/trundle bed that sleeps 2 and a 50” Smart TV where you can log into your own streaming services. The WiFi router is located in the living room. We have paid extra for the best WiFi available in our area. With that being said, there will be WiFi outages from time to time that is out of our control, which will not constitute any refund. If it just needs reset let us know; we can try to help. There is 1 bathroom with a shower. There is a hall closet stocked with your bathroom essentials. There is one bedroom with a new mattress/foundation queen bed, luggage rack, closet and chair. We have a free play Galaga Arcade game for your use in the dining area. It is just like the ones you played in bowling alleys and arcades back in the day. So please treat with care and respect so it is there for all guests to play. You have access to the covered patio outside. We do not have a fenced in yard so if you have a dog it will have to be taken out on a leash and you will need to clean up/dispose of dog waste. You will also be responsible for any damages cause by the dog(s). You will have 4 steps to access this clean, well kept 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom property. Guests do not have access/use of the garage. You will have driveway access for 2 cars. If you have more than 2 cars, there is free off street parking on the side gravel area of the property. We ask that all guests do not park on neighbors property at all. There is a railroad track next to the property, it is not a very busy railroad. It does not have a set schedule. Feel free to ask us any questions thru the app about the area or things to do. We have lived in the area for 40+ years. On occasion we will be out of town so we won't be available in person. The Cozy Cottage is centrally located in Chillicothe. It is located next to railroad tracks, not busy but no set schedule. There is a roofing business across the street but it is not a busy business. There is a Pizza Hut Carry Out and a couple gas stations within walking distance. There is also a new Taco Bell being built within walking distance. You are a couple minute drive to a Dollar General, Hardware Store, Movie Theater, Grocery Store, Dairy Queen(seasonal), parks and river. There are two car washes nearby. The house is located in a very nice small town, a car is needed to get around but there is plenty of parking. **We offer discounts for monthly rentals; LTR will be charged separately for cleanings every 2 weeks. We have also provided on for the bedroom just in case. We are dog only friendly, no other pets allowed. Please advise us if you will be traveling with any dogs. The property is located next to railroad tracks. It is not a very active railroad, maybe 2-3 trains a week without a set schedule. We ask that you do not wear shoes on the carpet. Shoe trays/racks are located at the 2 keypad entrances.
